Solid metal construction. Simple and works as intended. Makes workflow easier and faster especially if you need to set up 2 cameras.

I feel like it's pretty obvious why I'd pick up the NEEWER Overhead Camera Mount Rig for Top Down Shoots (as pictured). This is an excellent setup. Neewer is known for creating excellent and innovative products for photographers and videographers and this one is no exception. The build materials are all excellent and it fits together perfectly - and obviously sits on the desk perfectly as well.My only gripe is that I wish the crossbar was extendable (it'd be awesome if they created one I could pick up).Overall, if you do any top-down photos or videos for product shots or reviews, I'd strongly recommend picking up this rig. I know of others who fabed their own for gobs more than this one costs.

I love this unit. I can clip all sorts of lights and backdrops to it and it holds my Canon R6 with battery grip and huge lens very well. It has a good range heights. The only drawback is portability. It's not exactly convenient to be taking apart all the time so I leave it together if I have to travel with it.

The overhead camera mount rig by Neewer is a well manufactured solid rig for both heavier & small form factor cameras. It comes with a detachable shoe to easily mount a camera & clamps to hang my backdrops. The metal frame facilitates using Neewer's TL97C magnetic light for superior lighting. I can alternatively use additional clamps to add secondary lighting from many different angles, fully illuminating the subject item. The fact that the ST200 can be raised or lowered to accommodate varying sizes of product & that the clamps are gentle on the backdrops are a couple of the features I enjoy & why I'm grateful for Neewer's ST200 overhead camera mount rig to help me to showcase company products.

My daughter has taken and interest in photography and stop animation. This overhead mount rig is a great option for her to have as a semi-permanent set-up for her projects. The instructions for assembly were clear and easy to understand. I like that they included both written explanations and photos. No additional tools were needed for assembly. The arm height is adjustable, but does require some effort. It comes with two brackets and two clamps to mount a back-drop (back-drop not included) if you wanted to use one. Over all there are 7 mounting holes to place your equipment. There is a quick-release plate to quickly exchange equipment. The stand has rubber feet to prevent it from sliding around. The unit does not fold for storage, and must be un-assembled. I wish there was a carry/storage bag for it when not in use.

The NEEWER Overhead Camera Mount Rig is a game changer for anyone looking to capture top-down shots effortlessly. I particularly appreciated the 1s Quick Switch Lock feature, which allows for smooth transitions between different camera setups. The sturdy construction provides excellent stability, ensuring that my equipment stays secure during use. What I liked most was its versatility; it’s perfect for shooting cooking videos, drawing tutorials, and live streaming crafts. The adjustable height and angle settings make it easy to find the perfect position for any project. However, I did find that the setup can be a bit cumbersome at first, and it requires a desk width of at least 32 inches, which might limit its use in smaller spaces.Overall, this rig has elevated the quality of my content, making it a worthwhile investment for creators looking to enhance their visual storytelling.

The NEEWER Heavy-Duty Overhead Camera Mount Rig for Top Down Shot with 1s Quick Switch Lock is sturdy and of good quality. It can support any DSLR with its heavy gauge square metal tubing. The assembly is simple and straightforward, but be aware that the vertical bar and the foot need to be pulled together by the screw at the bottom. At first, the two pieces may appear not to fit well with a gap in between, but when you insert the screw and start tightening, the two pieces come together without any gaps. This rig is superior to a copy stand because the working area under the camera is much larger. However, the copy stand can be adjusted in height much faster, smoother, and more precisely. So there is a trade-off here, and each has its pros and cons. When using this rig, a zoom lens is recommended because it would reduce the number of rig height adjustments you need to make. The quick switch camera mount plate is sturdy, but it should come with a rubber backing so that it will not pivot when mounted on the rig’s crossbar. Furthermore, the reinforcement screws at the lower end of the vertical bar could easily scratch the smooth surface of the inner vertical bars. Most screws don’t come with a metal washer, which will scratch the nice finish of the rig. The vertical bar has no provision to hold other accessories like a light-stand mounting head.Pros:- Heavy-duty build that can support any DSLRs- Small footprint- 90 degrees welded bracket reinforcement- Larger working area under the camera compared to a copy stand- Quick switch camera mount plate is sturdyCons:- Adjusting the rig’s height takes some effort, and you have to press the spring-loaded locking button each step going up or down. This means to reach the top height, you will have to press the button 11 times on one side and another 11 times on the other side!- You cannot adjust the height smaller than one step- When the button clicks in, it makes a loud noise- There are no vertical mounting holes on the crossbar, which has significantly reduced the versatility of the rig- The quick switch camera mount plate lacks a rubber backing- Reinforcement screws at the lower end of the vertical bar could scratch the inner vertical bars- Most screws don’t come with a metal washer, which can scratch the rig's finish- The vertical bar lacks provision to hold other accessoriesIn conclusion, there is no question that this is a sturdy rig for mounting a DSLR in a shoot-down position, but the lack of vertical holes on the crossbar and mounting provision on the vertical bar has significantly limited the versatility of this otherwise marvellous rig. Nevertheless, I am very happy with the rig as it doesn’t take up much desk space and I have a make-shift mini-studo when I need one.

I create a lot of content where I need to do overhead shots, but because I work in a small home office, having a tripod reduces my working space. This Neewer overhead mount is ideal as it sits on my table (which is 1m in length) and allows to film ideal overhead shots. The metal build is really good resulting in good stability. If you need to regularly change the height of the mount you'll find that the process is a bit of a pain, but in an effort to be stability and secure, this is the result. The holes on the crossbar will allow you to customise what you have (additionally) on this setup. I've added a small COB light and a camera monitor.Overall, really impressed by this, mainly as I've now got a secure way of mounting my camera to a permanent overhead setup in my studio and I have the piece of mind that the setup is not going to fall (which has happened previously when using a tripod).
