  • Enhanced UI and TTL/M Mode Switch- This NEEWER Z2-C speedlight features an upgraded UI and a TCM key that switches from TTL to M mode in a second. The flash speedlite also supports automatic metering, 1/1-1/256 manual dimming, 28-105mm focal length, stroboscopic flashes, 1/8000s HSS, front/rear curtain sync, FEC/FEB/FEL (flash exposure compensation/bracketing/locking), S1/S2 optical slave modes and more
  • Magnetic Dome Diffuser & Flexible Angles- The 76Ws speedlight features a circular Fresnel flash head, aided by the included magnetic dome diffuser, ensuring even, soft, and natural light effects with 5600K (±200K) stable color temperature. The flash head allows for 0-330° swivel and -7-120° tilt, and automatically or manually adjusts the flash coverage for lenses between 28-105mm. Two upgraded 2W 3300K LED modeling lamps (one below the flash head) offer 10 brightness levels (01-10)
  • Built in 2.4G Wireless Q System- The external flash offers four wireless control groups (A/B/C/D), 32 channels (1-32), and 99 IDs (1-99) for use with the QPRO-C TTL transmitter (not included). It also functions as a master/slave unit for other Q system flashes within 328'/100m (no obstacles)
  • High Capacity & Fast Recycling- The 7.2V/3000mAh lithium ion battery provides 600 full power flashes, 1.5s fast recycling time, and a 1/180-1/20000s flash duration. Use the built in USB Type C port to fully charge the li ion battery in just 2.5 hours (5V/2A power adapter not included). Firmware update is also available via the Type C port

This flash actually surprised me, its quite bright. I found myself having to dial it back in situations. I was even able to beat the advertised battery life. Lighting is consistent from shot to shot, giving excellent coverage. Screen and UI are easy to use. Very satisfied with this flash.

This is a powerful flash with lots of pro features. They claim 480 full power flashes per charge, making this a great choice for event photogs. It is so powerful that it is rare you will be using full power, so expect many more flashes per charge than that - I have gotten more than 800 flashes and still had half charge. I love the built in modeling light, I have never seen that feature on a flash, and I have found that it can double as a video light - again, making this a great choice for events. The modeling lights also help to focus in dimly lit situations. The display is large and bright, and I found the menu intuitive and easy to navigate. Overall this is an excellent, pro level flash and I have a hard time thinking of any negatives. For the price, this is a steal. Easy 5 stars

I have a small collection of seven speedlights, which range from budget to flagship. Three are Nikon branded, two are Godox (V1 and V850III), and two are Neewer (Z1 and Z2). Of the group, I can easily say that the Neewer Z2 is my absolute favorite speedlight. It does have a couple notable weaknesses that I'll get into a bit later in the review, but first I wanted to talk about the positives. So the Neewer Z2 has a wonderful screen, which is a huge upgrade from their first iteration. While the original had that backlit calculator screen, this one has a bright, sharp, and vibrant LCD. Yes, it does lower battery life a bit, but I would argue that the tradeoff is worth it for me. For professionals that need to be on location for 12 hours at a time, this might be more of an issue. Another huge upgrade is the interface, which is now clean, legible, and easy to get the hang of. Other brands typically have a bit of a learning curve, and it can take a bit of time to acclimate to a new OS. The Neewer Z2, however, was incredibly intuitive and I had my flash up and running within a few minutes of powering it on for the first time. In terms of build quality, the Z2 is really solid. Don't let the relatively cheap price fool you, this is a very, very capable speedlight. It has good power, fast recycling time, and has amazing range too. Last thing I wanted to mention... I had a few weird issues with the previous model that they seemed to have fixed with this one. My Z1 had this one problem where whenever I would do a flash test with my Godox receiver, the speedlight model lamp would turn on and the sound would unmute itself. Doesn't seem to be happening with this one any more, which is great. Also, it's great to see that they introduced a built in USB-C port for their batteries now. I love not having to pull a charge cradle out of storage every time I want to top off the battery. Lots of flowers to Neewer for these small, quality of life changes. So there's really only one real weakness with the speedlight... it doesn't have great flash detection. If you plan on using it as a slave, you might have a hard time getting it to wirelessly trigger alongside the master. I circumvented this issue by attaching a Godox receiver onto the Neewer Z2, which allows me to group it with my Godox V1. I'm then able to use my X3 flash trigger to fully control both speedlights, and I have full capabilities with them both, as well.TLDR - Amazing price to performance. Intuitive, with a beautiful screen. Battery life suffers a bit. Would love to see a built in USB-C port on the removable battery. Still an easy 5/5 star

his flash is quite nice. I really like the screen on it. It’s nice to be able to set up the various options on a big clear screen. The color accuracy is decent but not the very best you can get. For this price point though, you get a lot of features and is a great value for beginner to intermediate photographers. I would recommend this flash.
