This is so portable and light and works really well
For what it is, it is very good. I bought it in lieu of a discontinued Neeuwer model that I found slightly sturdier and a bit brighter. It also had numbered brightness and warmth settings, which I prefer. Still, this one is most satisfactory.
I didn't know that this had a battery built in. Nice touch.
I bought it primarily as a light source for digitizing film in colour slides, colour negative and B&W negatives. The light is very even with no hot spots or visible LEDs and with the high CRI, the colours are reproduced well. I'm using a copy stand, so I made a plywood base for it with 4 small wooden blocks to raise it up about 2" for ventilation and to see the LCD screen, to ensure the brightness is set to 100% at 5600K. I cut a hole in a piece of 1/2" black foamcore, so the film is raised above the panel. Very happy with it.
