Solid, sturdy, and tank of a adjustable tripod head! You can adjust it in versatile directions, by millimeters, so if you need precision and need to it to be marked at the same directions, you can easily do it with this! It's a bit on the heavier side but it so solid. It has a millimeter adjustment or the knob that can adjust on the fly and easily, instead of turning every millimeter to get the desired setup. The motion is smooth and a bit on the larger side. So if you're looking for something lighter, this isn't it. I don't mind the durability and sturdiness of it, so the weight isn't an issue for me. It's easy to use, it just takes some practice on adjusting the settings. The design is made for dynamic shooting. It also locks in the position you want pretty securely. Incredibly tripod head to have in your arsenal of video/photography, very functional.
I used this on multiple trips to dial in precise shots. I was tired of thinking I had the angle right just using a ball head and then realizing it was off. This is a solid piece of kit, and the fit and feel of the unit was top notch.The grey lever on the two knobs lets you make larger/faster adjustment and then go back to small precise ones when you get close to the shot. The thumb lever is for changing the angle of the camera from horizonal to vertical and any in between, but not with precise control. It also has a panoramic small QR plate.I was able to take some much better panoramic footage.
There's 2 things about this head that make it extra outstanding. The first thing is that it comes with the 2nd round quick release adapter that also lets the camera pan left and right. Normally that's no big deal, but if you flip the camera up vertically, this allows you to keep your tilt function. So with this head, you can retain all movement while in vertical or horizontal mode. If you swap back and forth often, this is one of the best heads I've seen.The 2nd thing is that it has both a fine adjustment, or you can do a small rotation on the silver handles to unlock it and make a big manual adjustment. It even comes with a short extender to accommodate legs with wide mounting bases.All the rubber handles feel very high quality, and it has spirit levels on every axis in case you need it.Overall, this is a very high end head.Highly recommended.
