NEEWER PS013 Foldable V Mount Battery Plate with Arca Type QR Plate

The Neewer V Mount Battery Plate with Arca Base Plate is certainly far more than a holder for a V Mount Battery, substantially more.The device incorporates two ARCA plates, one as a base and the other a QR plate that can be attached directly to a camera. As Neewer notes, this allows the unit as a whole to be attached to a tripod, gimbal or what have you. Or, the camera, along with the attached QR plate, can be separated from the battery holder altogether, to be relocated to another ARCA clamp, for example a tripod head. Of course, you’d have to bring the V Mount battery along with it. The entire unit, along with the battery and camera, can be handheld, with the arm to which the V Mount battery attaches acting as a side handle. Suffice to say, The Neewer Foldable V Mount Battery Plate with Arca base plate is a very versatile thing.I don’t actually use V Mount batteries, mainly because I already have a number of NP-F style batteries, so I use a V plate from another Neewer Adapter, the Neewer Mini V Mount Battery Plate. The “V” plate included with this accessory is removable and has 1/4" threads that allow it to be attached to an NP-F adapter, or anywhere else you’d like to attach a V Mount Battery, as I’ve shown in the included pictures.Neewer also notes that the Foldable V Mount Battery Holder can be used on a DJI gimbal and a camera cage. The battery plate is a pretty substantial accessory both in size and weight, so all of that is going to reduce a gimbal’s maximum payload, reducing the total amount that can be used for camera and lens, focus system, etc. In my opinion, the Neewer accessory I mentioned above, the Mini V Mount Plate, is a far less intrusive solution for attaching a V Mount Battery to a gimbal; it is far lighter, and much smaller. This item, the Foldable V Mount Battery plate, again in my opinion, is ideal for use on a tripod or used handheld when extra battery power is needed.As I’ve already mentioned, the Foldable V Mount Plate is built like a tank, fortunately out of light weight aluminum. All three of the levers, the one for the ARCA clamp and the other two for adjustments of the arm that holds the V Mount, pull out and disengage to be reoriented if needed. The two levers at the joints of the lower plate and the arm, and the arm and the V Plate, never fully lock the either joint, but adjust their dampening. The silver lever locks and unlocks the horizontal movement of the arm. The arm itself can be adjusted in a 180-degree arc from fully vertical up to fully vertical down, and in between. And the V Mount plate at the end of the arm has the same range of adjustment, 180-degrees.The Neewer V Mount Foldable Battery Plate Adapter, etc, is delivered with 1/4" and 3/8" attachment screws and a nifty little screwdriver that's held magnetically and conveniently under the QR plate.
