NEEWER PA091 Phone Cage Kit Compatible with Xiaomi 15 Ultra

I tried this phone cage with a Xiaomi 15 Ultra, focusing mainly on scenic photography and still-life compositions. My first impression was the standout build quality—the aluminium alloy construction is impressively solid and substantial, providing a real sense of protection for the phone. The fit is exact, so there’s no feeling of looseness or shifting, which is particularly important when moving quickly between locations or setups.Setting up the cage is straightforward, thanks to the quick release mechanism. It’s actually as effortless and secure as described: attaching and removing the phone takes seconds, and at no point did I feel concerned about stability. In use, the cage doesn’t hinder access to any controls or ports, so it’s easy to operate the phone directly or plug in accessories. When using a tripod for longer exposures, I appreciated being able to trigger the shutter remotely without having to fiddle with the cage at all.Accessory mounting is clearly an area where this cage excels. The cold shoe is robust, making tripod attachment fast and reliable, and there are enough mounting points to accommodate extra gear like lights or microphones if needed.Another strong point is filter and lens compatibility. I tested both a 67mm filter and a 17mm threaded lens, and found they attached securely, with zero wobble—this enabled me to experiment freely with different looks without worrying about equipment mishaps. So far, after a couple of weeks of steady use, the cage has delivered flawlessly: its precise engineering and reliable fit make it one of the better pieces of phone shooting gear I’ve worked with, especially if you need a secure platform for expanding your mobile photography kit.Summary:✅ Pros: Rugged aluminium construction; Quick, secure phone attachment and release; Excellent fit and access to controls; Flexible accessory mounting; Filters and add-on lenses attach easily and securely➗ Cons: None encountered during initial usage

An impressive Cage designed to expand the Mobile's capabilities with additional mounting points and lens Backplates. Both the Mobile and Backplates are fitted and removed with the Upper Bracket open. Once that is closed, and locked, both are then held very securely.I'm keeping this Review generic, because NEEWAR also offer almost identical Cages for other Mobiles, so the images and video broadly relates to their similar offerings. For example, the Cage for the SAMSUNG S25 Ultra is the NEEWAR PA082.My main aim is to show you the Cage via images and a video, which may also help other Mobile users where NEEWAR offer a compatible Cage. For the avoidance of doubt, this is a Cage, not a Case, so it will inevitably feel comparatively heavy, simply because it has to support the weight of both the Mobile, and all attached peripherals, all without any bending or flexing. Indeed, if it did not feel heavy and robust, that would suggest a bigger problem.𝗟𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀With the Upper Frame open, as mentioned, these can be fitted, and removed, very quickly. My video shows my first attempt to do this, and it was very easy. After doing it a few times, the Backplate changes become entirely intuitive, and much faster to achieve. After a week of use, the changes will become smooth and rapid. The point here, is on a busy photo shoot, it will be easy to change Backplates and, in turn, Lenses. So this Cage will soon become a hard working and essential part of your Mobile based photographic equipment. This should facilitate you having the right Lens in place, at exactly the right time.𝗪𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗜 𝗕𝘂𝘆 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗲?Yes, I was impressed with the quality, and ease with which the Mobile can be inserted, and extracted.Model: 𝗣𝗔𝟬𝟵𝟭.

Very well made strong and will offer good protection but makes the phone a lot larger you would struggle to get it in your pocket

amazing for videographers, fits tightly and is really durable

The build quality is solid. It feels sturdy in hand and gives me confidence that my phone is well protected. The quick release mechanism is a game changer. Switching between handheld shooting and mounting on a tripod is now super fast and easy. The included filter adapter is a nice bonus. I've been experimenting with different filters to get some interesting effects in my videos. The 17mm lens backplate opens up even more possibilities. Being able to attach external lenses has really expanded my creative options. It's not just a cage. It's a versatile video rig.

Having owned multiple products from NEEWER from camera lenses to their cases, this is no different and their quality is superb. Can mount a variety of lenses and other accessories from NEEWER or other 3rd party attachments.

If you're into photography and video making but don't have that much money to invest in proper gear, this phone accessory will turn the Xiaomi 15 Ultra into a filming and photography making machine. The phone simply slides in and the cage allows for different size lenses to be attached to it, forming an extension of the phone's actual camera.Although it seems quite bulky once over the phone, it will not impede access to the actual phone buttons or charging port.It is all aluminium so it will offer good protection as well. There's a vast range of filters and lenses which can be attached to it and the variety in the video and photography will increase a lot, the cage also allowing for side handle attachments.
