NEEWER NS02 Side Lit RGB LED Strip Light

I picked these up to install on my D&D table for ambiance lighting during game sessions, and they're exactly what I was looking for. Setup was quick and straightforward — no fighting with adhesive or confusing app pairing. The app control works well and gives you plenty of color options to dial in the right mood.The RGB colors are vibrant and the light diffusion on the neon rope style is smooth and even in person. If you look at my customer photos you might notice some light banding, but that's just a camera frame rate artifact. To the naked eye the lighting is consistent and clean.The strip feels sturdy and the flexible design makes it easy to route along edges and corners. Being cuttable is a nice bonus if you need to fit a specific length. Build quality seems solid so far and I don't have concerns about durability.If you're looking for accent lighting for a gaming setup, home theater, or anywhere you want some controllable mood lighting, these do the job well at a fair price.

I picked up this light strip set wanting to add some mood lighting to a blank wall, and it’s done just that in the most awesome way! The build quality is good, the strip itself is flexible but sturdy, and the adhesive backing held well on painted drywall and I also used the mounting hardware to reinforce it. It wasn’t finicky to install, and I was able to get it positioned exactly where I wanted with minimal fuss.What I enjoy most about it are the customizable colors. There are enough options to match whatever vibe I’m going for, from soft warm hues to bold tones. The controls are intuitive, and switching between colors or lighting effects doesn’t require digging through confusing menus. I’ve left it on a warm glow for relaxed evenings and cranked up brighter colors when I’m in the mood for something more energetic. The strip is also a translucent white color, so the glow it gives off looks like neon. There are no harsh lights from individual exposed LEDS, like on other products.The accent lighting completely changed how that blank wall feels. Instead of just staring at an empty space, now it adds personality to the room, especially at night when the rest of the lights are dimmed. And the performance has been consistent, without any flickering or fading of the lights.Overall, I am very happy with this light kit. It was my first experience using strip lights, and now I want to get more of these NEEWER kits for every room!

Great product, I also bought the floor lamps they offer and they pair great together. Only complaint i have: i wanted to put them on my ceiling. Cord is not long enough to reach a lower plug in. I had to come down the wall a ways, still looks great but need to hide the cord somehow. But regardless im a fan

These neon strip lights are a great addition to any room. The installation is very simple and it'll brighten up whichever room you decide to put it in. The step is pretty long so if you are going to put it around a room just be sure to measure it. The lights are very flexible so putting it around a corner is not hard at all.

Alright, so I had run a classic led strip behind my desk, but you could see the individual lights giving somewhat of a Christmas light effect. I wanted more of a gentle glow, instead of harsh dots along the back of my desk.This was the absolute best replacement for that issue. They work incredibly well, and give off that neon aesthetic, while remaining traditional LEDs on the inside, I presume. The app control and color options make this strip way more fun than I had initially planned for. I kind of want to get MORE footage for these, just to put them in other weird places in my studio.As for installation, no problem. You can supply your own adhesive/tape, or just use the strip that's included. It's quite strong, I assume it will hold up for some time. I'm pleased with the whole experience.

At just under 10 feet, it's decent for smaller spaces, but if you're trying to cover a larger area or run it along multiple walls, you'll need to buy multiple strips. For what it is, though, the length is manageable and easy to work with.The app control works well, and the music sync feature is fun for adding dynamic lighting to parties or gaming sessions.Overall, these are quality LED strip lights with good brightness, rich colors, and flexible control options. If you want customizable neon-style lighting for your space, these are worth picking up. Highly recommended.

These rope lights are genuinely impressive from a design and lighting standpoint. They have a very clean, modern look—more like a seamless LED strip than a traditional rope light. The diffuser does a great job of hiding individual LEDs, so you get a smooth, continuous line of light instead of visible hotspots. In person, it looks polished and well-finished.Brightness is excellent, and the color options and effects give you plenty of flexibility depending on the mood or setting. When the lights are connected and working properly, control through the app is responsive and intuitive.That said, connectivity has been the weak point for me. I’ve had recurring issues with the app finding the lights on my network or maintaining a stable connection. I also own a newer lighting product from the same brand and have experienced similar occasional connection problems, so this doesn’t feel like an isolated issue.I haven’t permanently installed the lights yet—I’m deciding whether to place them under our bed or in my office—so this feedback is based on setup, testing, and short-term use rather than long-term mounting. From a performance and appearance perspective, though, the lights themselves are excellent.Overall, these are great-looking, high-quality rope lights with strong brightness and a premium feel. If the app reliability were better, they’d be nearly perfect.

These NEEWER RGB strips are some of the nicest lights I have tried. They are made of a soft silicone material that bends easily, so running them around corners or shaping them along a wall is simple. The light they put out is smooth and bright, not the usual dot pattern you see with thinner LED strips. These are nice and thick, and you can really see that from the light they put out.The segmented control is what really stands out. Each section can run its own color and pattern, so you can get flowing effects that look clean and professional. The app gives you a ton of options and connects fast. I also tried the voice control through Alexa and it worked without any trouble. Just make sure you are using a 2.4 GHz network.The preset scenes cover a lot of moods and the music sync feature reacts quickly to sound. It adds a fun look to a gaming setup or a movie room. I also like that the control box has a built in mic so you do not have to rely only on the phone.Since the strip is fully silicone, it feels durable and can be used outdoors. It is flexible enough to follow trim lines around a patio or deck and still look clean.If you want lighting with more effects than basic LED strips and something that is easy to shape, these are a solid upgrade and well worth it.

Very colorful, reminds me of a glow bracelet. The default modes includes several sound-based options that are actually very cool and responsive. Using the app, there are even more effects and options. This doesn't use the neewer photography app, instead it uses Neewer Home which is a bit easier to use. I was very impressed with the connectivity -- it uses wifi, and the app immediately detected it without requiring any power-cycling.The individual LEDs within the rope are very well diffused by the casing making them appear to fade smoothly into each other. I'm a little surprised by the size of the rope -- the profile is sort of a keyhole shape with a large portion non-light emitting. At first I expected it might contain some deformable wire, but this is not the case. You have to shape it by bending it and anchoring it in the right places.It is quite flexible, however, unlike such products when I was in college, this rope isn't hard to bend.It seems that the entire electronics of it are within silicone or some kind of soft plastic, meaning it should be quite durable, and it seems the price is the better end for such a "neon-alike" rope. Alexa / Google Home integration also a plus.
