This isn't a cheap tripod by any means, and it's up at leading brand prices, so it needs to be up at their perfomance level, and based on what I've been using up to now, it's right up there.Feels sturdy when it's fully extended with a Sony A71v and Sigma 24-70 (fairly heavy) lens on it.The pillar, which is removable and upside downable (I made that word up) has a hook on it too so you can hang your bag off it for a bit of extra weight, or just to keep it off the muddy/wet ground (or river bed if you shoot that kinda thing). Doing the old fashioned, utilising the "nudge your camera and see if it falls over" barely scientific method it stands up to quite the nudge with no sign of topple. The weight is good, it's by no means balance on one finger light, but it's light enough for travel and lugging around on a days photo hike. It also isn't so light it feels like it'll fall over in a stiff breeze. The carbon fibre material is really good quality, as is all the other materials used. The clasps on the legs lock tight and, so far, haven't developed any movement and if they do you can tighten them.I like you get two different quick release plates, one standard and one with pan on it, bonus. The ball head is really smooth, solid and feels good in use, it locks in place firmly and is easy to unlock to loosen, move and all the rest. The quick release is a twist and press thing, which is so easy to use.The screw holes dotted around so you can add lights, phone clamps etc are really handy if you're using for shooting video too. Comes with a nice bag to carry it round in too, which is always nice.Overall I'm really impressed with this, it's not cheap, but my current tripod cost more, weighs a lot more and doesn't have as many features as this.

This is an excellent tripod. It is lightweight and compact, but very, very sturdy. It is very well made, with quality materials that work very well together. The design looks very nice. The legs are in 5 adjustable sections and even thought the bottom one is quite thin, it is strong enough to keep the tripod rock solid even when the legs are fully extended. They move in and out smoothly and the locking lever keeps them in place. The height of the ball head can be extended by pulling the center shaft up and locking it in place. The tripod legs can easily be spread wide, so you can get your camera low to the ground and it comes with a short center shaft to get it even lower. I like the ball head, which has an adjustable lever to smoothly tighten it into place and it has a slot on one side to position your camera so you can take photos in portrait aspect instead of landscape. The description says it can hold up to 22 lbs, and after using it for a few minutes, I totally believe that. The carbon fiber makes it very strong, but very light. It comes with a very nice cloth case that comes with a shoulder strap, the short center shaft, a cell phone holder, an extra QR plate for 360° panoramas, some Allen wrenches, and an instruction booklet. All of these items fit into the case.My one concern is that the plate that goes onto your camera and then "snaps" into the top of the tripod does not secure the camera to the tripod until you twist the ring to tighten it. I have a few other tripods where taking the camera off of the tripod is a two step function. You have to untighten the camera plate and then press another button to remove the camera. With this tripod, you don't have that second step. Once you twist the ring to loosen the camera plate from the tripod, the camera comes off. I would much prefer a second step to keep the camera on the tripod in case I accidentally twist the locking ring, or it managed to loosen, because the camera will fall off of the tripod if I am not aware of what is happening. But aside from that, this is a fantastic tripod and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants a high quality, study, light, compact, well designed tripod. This is now my "go everywhere" tripod.

Let’s be real: at this price point, you expect a certain level of "wow," and the NEEWER LITETRIP LT39 actually delivers it. The first thing you notice isn't just the weight, though at roughly 1.1kg (2.5 lb), it’s ridiculously light; it’s the flat-leg design. Unlike those chunky, cylindrical legs that fight you when you’re trying to pack, these slide into a backpack side pocket like they were born there. The carbon fiber doesn't just look fancy; it makes the whole thing feel beautifully engineered and stiff enough to handle up to 10kg (22 lb) without that annoying "jiggle" you get with cheap travel stands. I especially love the metal buckles on the legs; they have a satisfying, snappy click that feels like they’ll actually last. It’s surprisingly tall at 155cm (61"), but can get right down to the dirt for macro shots thanks to the short center column swap. Just a heads-up: the quick-release is specifically Arca-type and PD V3 compatible, so if you’re already in that ecosystem, it’s a seamless "click-and-go" experience.Who is this for?Buy it if: You’re a travel photographer or content creator who is tired of lugging around a "traditional" heavy tripod. If you use a backpack clip or value every inch of space in your carry-on, this is a game-changer.Skip it if: You’re on a tight budget. It’s an investment piece, and while the quality justifies the cost, it’s overkill if you only take your camera out once a year.

We were impressed with how easy this tripod was to quickly set up and adjust. We also appreciate how it is sturdy but lightweight.
