NEEWER HB60B 60W Portable Mini LED Video Light

I am extremely excited about this video light and the sheer amount of features packed into such a compact unit. The overall build quality is absolutely awesome, giving the unit a very premium and professional look right out of the box. I have used some of Neewer's other gear in the past, but usually just the small mechanical parts and 1/4 20 type mounts for my sports cameras. Getting to try out their continuous lighting has been a great experience.One of the absolute best parts is that it is completely wireless. Not having to worry about plugging it in or tripping over power cords makes setting up a shot so much easier. Despite having a built in battery, the overall weight is surprisingly manageable, making it perfect for taking on the go or mounting on lighter stands. The light output is intensely bright, and adjusting the color temperature gives you a lot of creative flexibility. Every single function performs exactly as it should.My main reason for picking this up was actually to take our baby photos without having to spend hundreds of dollars on a professional studio session. The physical settings and menus on the back screen do take a little bit of time to learn and get used to. However, having the dedicated smartphone app is what makes this light so valuable, especially when you have your hands full with a newborn. The app bypasses the learning curve completely and makes controlling the brightness and effects both easy and genuinely fun to play around with. Considering everything it can do, the value for money here is outstanding. If you are looking to upgrade your lighting setup, this is a fantastic piece of gear.

This light is awesome. It’s battery-powered (comes with a USB-C charging cable), comes with a light stand mount, a reflector cone to direct the light, and has a bunch of features along with having a powerful light.On the back side, there is a screen, which displays the brightness and color temperature as well as the various light functions available. There is a power button, a knob for brightness, and a knob for color temperature. When you long press the power button, it turns on, but you need to turn the brightness knob to fully turn it on. The brightness knob adjusts the light intensity. The color temp knob adjust the color temp, but it also serves as a button that can turn eco mode on or off. Eco mode dims the light and increases the run time from 50 minutes to 80. If you short press the power button, it will bring up all of the other light features, which you can scroll through with the color temp knob.The whole thing is intuitive and easy to use, and it works really well. It’s small and lightweight, and it also comes with a carrying bag. It’s a really versatile light. It does come with a hefty price tag, but the quality and usefulness make it worthwhile if you’re trying to make money and need good, easy to use equipment.

An impressively powerful little light! Bright and even light with fully adjustable brightness and color temperature. There are some build in scene modes that seem a bit gimmicky but maybe useful?The controls are simple, a power button, a brightness knob and a color temperature knob. A display on the back clearly shows the settings. The light can also be controlled via Bluetooth but I did not test that and would not find that useful.The included reflector attaches easily with a bayonet fitting.Compact at about 4" long by 3 1/4" square and 1.6lb, without the reflector. (The knobs and reflector mount add about another half inch to the length.)Mounting is via a standard 1/4" threaded hole for a tripod. A sturdy pole mount/handle is included.There's a fan that kicks in but it's so quiet you'd never notice it unless listening for it.Charging is via a USB-C port. A heavy duty USB-C to USB-C cable is included and you can use pretty much any USB power source, but you'll want a 45+W brick to fast charge. USB PD is triggered and charging goes up to 20V at 2.25A (45W.) The light can be operated while charging and I saw it go all the way to 20V at 3A (60W) when doing so. Not sure if my power brick just wasn't powerful enough but the product page says it can draw as much as 100W.Note that the power brick is not included, contrary to one of the product page pictures.A carry case is included.
