No long term use yet, but the GM41 looks and feels much more expensive than it is. It’s perfectly compatible with every Arca-Swiss type plate I have, including my camera cage and L-bracket with integral Arca dovetails. I like that some tension remains on the ball head even when fully backed off. Ideal for travel tripods, and would work well on a monopod.

A great way to update an older tripod! This low profile ball head has a lot of great features, like a 40mm ball head, and it rotates for panoramic. Arca Swiss, and PD capture plate compatible. 22 lb weight capacity covers anything I'll ever need. A modern, and well made premium product. I can finally start using my tripod from the DSLR days. I do recommend this.

The fit and finish of this ball head is excellent. Neewer makes some great accessories, but this ball head's fabrication exceeds their typical build quality. The function of the ball head itself is very smooth, it is very compact, and you can use it to capture both landscape and portrait images with the notched cutout that allows you to move the camera down to a portrait position. The clamp accepts ARCA-style plates and my camera cage slid easily into position and was easily tightened. A bubble level is on the top of the clamp area and provides an easy visual to ensure you are on the level. This one exceeded my expectations and I can recommend it whole heartedly.
