I've ordered a few NEEWER camera accessories and been genuinely happy with them, and this TP53 tripod - described as entry level - is a genuinely excellent product and value for a basic tripod. At time of review, it's $33 CAD. Here are the pros and cons in my testing:GREAT:-Most of the construction is aluminum or good quality plastic.- Highly adjustable vertical positions.-Camera mount head has 3-way adjust.-Camera screw is mounted on a quick-release plate, allowing the camera to be easily attached to the plate and making removal and fold-down a fast and painless process.-Quite stable even with a heavy DLSR with a medium-length lens.-Includes a spring-loaded clip adapter to mount a mobile phone.COULD BE BETTER:-Legs are made from aluminum square tubing. While more stable than plastic and tubular circular tubing tripods I've used, they don't hold as tightly as I'd like, but once assembled and the camera is added there was no wobble.-Adjustment screws are a bit stiff.DRAWBACKS:-The carrying bag is cheap, thin, synthetic trash. It's really quite bad.
TLDR: Very compact, great design and finish, tall for a mini tripod, fairly stable and excellent grip on phone.I have a few tripods, I'm not a photographer or a professional who needs a tripod but I am a hobbyist camera collector of sorts. I ordered this for my Samsung phone but after using it I would have no issues pairing it with one of my camcorders.Pros:Very Simple to use.Thick instruction booklet, lots of pics. Very detailed.Fairly stable.Smooth leg adjustments.Smooth finish.Great value, would be hard to find a tripod at this price that's half as good.PortableExcellent GRIP on my big heavy phone. Of the many many many phone mounts I own this is in the top 2 for quality and value.Cons:At this price, I can't find any.As advertised and then some. I own a lot of tripods, most of them are as expected if not worse. This is 1 of 2 I can say "would order again without a second thought".
