NEEWER BASICS TP55 71" Camera Tripod

Absolutely love this product. It’s sturdy, manageable and easy to carry. Love that it comes with its travel bag and accessories. In the picture , it is not all the way extended, I adjusted it to my height. But it’s higher that 5 ft for sure.

I am really impressed with this camera tripod. The tripod comes with a carrying case that holds all the accessories along with the tripod. The tripod feels really sturdy and is made with quality materials. At the top of the legs are foam coverings for hand grips which are really nice and useful. The legs have nice locking snaps that keep the legs extended. The feet have have pads that are able to move and adjust according to the ground they are standing on. It comes with accessories that fit any type camera and also, attachments for a cell phone. This is a really nice quality tripod.

Okay, I’m definitely going to recommend this. But keep in mind, this is part of Neewer’s BASICS line, so it really is an entry level tripod.That being said, you get a lot for the price. I’m a professional photographer and filmmaker—and while this isn’t as good as my high-end tripods, the price point is so low it makes sense.If you are dabbling in photo or video, or maybe you are on a budget or just need a second or third tripod, this is a nice buy. I was able to put all of my cameras on this easily—it held my Sony, Canon, and Nikon cameras well. It felt sturdy and solid. While the components are a mix of metal and plastic, they still operate well.You get a few fun features for the price: a level, a release button, tilt, pan, expanding legs, and even a hook for hanging a bag or weight underneath. This really gives you features found on much higher end tripods.Again, you shouldn’t expect the build quality or weight of a carbon fiber or aluminum tripod, but for the price, this is a nice tripod that I have zero complaints about.If you are a professional, and plan on using a tripod everyday, I would recommend something else, though.

Neewer's makes a quality line of photography products. This tripod is economical, functional and made from very good materials. It's an excellent value without the frills. It supports DSLR cameras up to 11 lbs and the non slip rubber feet provide excellent grip on different surfaces and terrain.The tripod is VERY lightweight at 3.3 lbs. It folds to a compact size and easily fits in the included carrying bag.The legs have standard quick flip locks. The height adjusts from 19 inches to 71 inches. The three way pan tilt head is excellent, providing smooth 360° rotation, 180° tilt, and 90° vertical shooting capability. Two quick release plates are included and operate via a safety latch. The 1/4" top screw is a standard size for a wide range of cameras and accessories. The included phone holder attachment is a welcome add on. It rotates 360° for transitions between portrait and landscape modes. My only gripe is the carrying bag needs a separate zippered pocket for the phone holder attachment and extra quick release plate. Other than that I highly recommend this tripod to all levels of photographers/videographers.

I like a locking pan tilt head for some uses, over a ball type, or a fluid head. The pan tilt is great when you want a stable base for what you are doing. A fluid type head works great for video and binoculars, it holds a light weight object fairly steady without being locked, so you can quickly change angle. I want the pan tilt for this head because I want to use it to hold a pochade box. A pochade box holds paints and a canvas for an artist to paint outdoors. The pan tilt motion of this head and the locking capability is ideal for this type application. Once I attach the box, I can tilt it slightly using the handle and tighten it down. A ball type head is okay for this as well, but is too moveable (it can tilt front, back, and sideways) so it is hard to control the box while locking it in place. A pan tilt type you only have to control front and back motion (tilt), then determine the pan direction and lock that. Most fluid type heads can’t be locked tight enough to hold a pochade box steady enough for painting.The legs are very sturdy and set and lock easily. I like that there is a crank to adjust the center post height. Most of my tripods (I have several) do not have this feature, where they usually just have a locking nut you turn then raise or lower the tube manually, I prefer the crank.The weight is not too bad, yet the design is quite sturdy. Very nice tripod.

It’s not a pro-level rig, but for the price, it’s a dependable choice for hobbyists, travelers, or anyone needing a versatile stand without breaking the bank.

I've bought products from Neewer in the past; they build quality for the price is second to none. I LOVED this tripod. There's a whole host of microadjustments as far as height, angles, direction, and orientation. It has grippy rubber feet to prevent sliding, and rubber on all upper contact surfaces to make sure your phone mount or camera count stays incredibly still. The build of the legs is all metal with padding on some of the upper portions of the legs. It also comes with a quick swap plate for the top of the tripod so you can swap different devices in and out quickly. It even comes with a carrying case that fits everything in there incredibly snug, so nothing will be jostled loose. It only take a few minutes to set up and can even be quickly done by beginners. I'd highly recommend this tripod setup for not only the price, but a far superior quality to other competitors in the same price point.

This is without a doubt the best tripod I have ever had, and I have had a few! First, it's got some weight to it, much stronger than ones I have had previously. That is perfect for me because I use it outdoors a lot and I don't have to worry about it blowing over with the slightest little breeze! If you need a little extra weight, it has a hook at the bottom to attach additional weight, even better! It has 4 extensions on each leg which will be great when setting up on an uneven surface! It also gives you a lot of flexibility when setting the height! The attachments will work with almost any camera, in fact, I can't think of a camera, or phone, that would not work with this tripod! The construction is solid, no worries about the legs buckling or the plastic breaking. It comes with a nice carrying case that is roomy enough for the tripod and all of the attachments. It has a leveling bubble to help you make sure it is nice and level to craft the perfect shot! If you use tripids for your photography, I highly recommend this one!
