I really like these light stands and think they are just great. They are smaller and much lighter weight than traditional heavy studio stands. This makes them absolutely perfect for holding smaller COB lights, speedlights, and smaller strobes. These stands are also a great option for tube lights, back lights, or simply holding a small reflector exactly where you need it. I feel they are very well made for the price and intended use. They are constructed with metal tubes and plastic parts, which keeps the overall weight down. I think if you use them specifically for lightweight things in a light duty capacity, then they are a wonderful choice when you just need a smaller stand.I will definitely be adding these right into my main workflow for all of my smaller photography setups. They are incredibly easy to carry around and they take up very little space when folded down. Sometimes you do not need a massive heavy stand taking up all the room in your space, and that is exactly where these really shine. The locks tighten down securely and the entire stand feels very stable when used with the appropriate gear. If you need a reliable way to hold up lighter equipment, these stands do exactly that. They are simple to set up, easy to adjust, and they get the job done right. I highly recommend them if you want a lighter duty stand for your smaller photography accessories.

It needs to hold your light securely, stay stable, and be easy to set up and take down. This stand does exactly that.If you're comparing it to high-end professional light stands, there are definitely differences. More expensive models often use lighter materials, fold down to a more compact size, or include features like individually adjustable legs for uneven terrain. This stand doesn't have those extras—and it isn't trying to.It's simply a solid, straightforward light stand.I've used it with a 600-watt studio light that weighs roughly 9 to 10 pounds, and it handled the load without any problems. The materials may not be heavy duty and premium like professional equipment but should still stand up to years of use.These stands have adjustable folding tripod legs with four telescoping sections. The moving parts clamp down securely with the thumbscrews without a lot of force needed. The tubes have enough friction that they don't come crashing down when slightly loosen the knobs without a load on the stand. The stands are all powder coated metal except for the knobs. The stands are topped with a standard "baby pin" with 1/4"-20 screw. So other accessories or cameras with a 1/4"-20 socket can be used. When folded and collapsed the stands are about 22 inches long so they are portable.Cons: The legs do not fold out flat for maximum stability and there is no hook to hang weights or sandbags. Use of heavy light modifiers or cross-arms is limited. And outdoor use is best not advised. No carrying case is supplied.

Both stands feel sturdy enough and had no issues supporting my basic lighting. They use a standard 1/4"-20 camera screw on top, extend to about 6 feet tall, and seem solid once everything is tightened down.If I had one complaint, it's the feet. The three metal legs terminate in hard plastic caps, and I would have preferred rubber feet for a bit more grip on smooth floors. Extending the stands to their maximum height also reduces the footprint significantly, making them less stable with top-heavy loads.Overall, they are decent option for a first set and are a welcome addition to my review space~

I needed a simple stand for a ring light at my desk, and this one fits that kind of job pretty well. It folds down nicely, doesn't take up much space in the corner, and the 4 section height adjustment gives enough range for basic photo or video use around the house.The metal build feels decent for the price. It has a little more heft than the really flimsy stands, and the finish looks like it will hold up fine. Setup is straightforward, but it uses screw knobs instead of quick latches, so it is not something I would want to keep adjusting all day during an event. The knobs have a pretty firm click to them when tightening.Where this stand loses a star is stability. The leg spread is on the smaller side, and once I had it fully extended with a light on top, I was a lot more careful moving around it. For indoor use with lighter gear, it does the job. For anything heavy, top heavy, or outside in wind, I would absolutely use a sandbag or just buy a sturdier stand.So for me this is a solid 4 star stand. Good for compact setups, easy to store, but not the one I would trust for bigger gear. Also worth knowing, there is no carry bag included.

This is a pretty good light stand. It is good quality for the price. It has a nice amount of heft. However it has shorter legs than every single other lightstand that I own. The legs are the part that creates the stability in the lightstand so this lightstand is naturally going to be less stable. I wouldn't really feel comfortable using this thing without a sandbag, which I know you should sandbag all of your lights always, but I have a tiny bad habit of not doing for very small shoots when I am by myself. But yeah, the legs are several inches shorter than my standard lightstands legs, so much more of a tip risk if not properly sandbagged. This does make it more compact though, but the lightstand doesn't come with a carry bag so it doesn't really seem to be for travel anyways. Overall it is a good stand but I am reducing a star for the leg length.
