Description

  • Expansion with 2 Sections- NEEWER tripod boom arm, length 35" to 61" (89 to 155cm). Attach the boom arm to the light stand and easily adjust the 180° swivel to get the perfect angle for your shooting needs (NOTE: Light Stand is NOT Included)
  • Ergonomical Design- The top is designed to hold the light more securely. The long locking knob and foam handle at the bottom enable the photographer to adjust the overhead boom arm with great ease and lock it tight in position.
  • Premium Material- The extendable aluminum alloy boom has a maximum length of 61’’ and can be rotated up to 180° for adjustment. Separate tilt, pan, and arm lock knobs. The boom also comes with a stainless steel 1/4" threaded screw for connecting other devices.
  • Strong & Sturdy- Rugged aluminum structure and locking system, with counterweight and sandbag, could easily achieve a load capacity of up to 5kg to meet the shooting needs. Note: the sandbag comes empty.
  • Wide compatibility- The universal boom arm is great support for most photographic devices like softboxes, umbrellas, strobe/flashlights, reflectors, etc. Perfect for indoor and outdoor use.

This is an impressive boom arm with removable weights and sand bag. Just overall an impressive performer. The weight can be unscrewed but it also has rubber lining on it's backside which lets you stand the whole stand upright solidly, but also lets you stack them tightly if need be.All the adjustments are well controlled and the knobs feel good to hold and handle. The locking parts lock securely and tight without the need to torque them super tight. Sliding the boom arm for balance or reach is also nice and smooth.The one thing to note of course it eh 5kg weight limit, and the fact that this boom has a good amount of weight on its own even without the additional sand bag---so just make sure at the very least your tripod or light stand can handle all the extra weight other than the intended equipment that will be mounted atop this boom arm.

Honestly, nothing bad can be said about this product.Sand bag: A nice denier, with bias tape all around, reinforced handle. And if this was not enough, a double zippered pocket on each side.Counterweight: Easy to install, easy to balance, with the boom sliding easily in and out.Female holder: An all metal base, with an adjustable handle that can get out of the way. The angle has positive locking, so it won't move easily. The boom can be fixed in place easily.Boom: Nice hard anodized finish on a decently sized boom. It extracts and retract pretty easily and lock firmly with the all aluminum toggle clamp system.Male baby mount: Aluminum baby mount, with a flat surface to lock your equipment, and a metal 1/4-20 screw at the end (not a cheap aluminum screw)Overall, this is a professional product I will use a lot (once I upgraded my cheap tripod).

This tripod boom arm when using it in conjunction with my C-stand gives me a great way to fix my LED video light so I can get some great lighting. Now I can reach farther with this adjustable boom arm that can be extended up to 155 cm. It as a counterweight at one end that you can also fix a sand bag that is included. I have a lot of video and photography light that I can fix on its universal lamp holder. This boom arm offers me new possibilities for my lighting in my studio. Just be sure to respect the maximum load capacity (5KG) so your precious equipment is safe. Very happy with this product and it’s going to be using a lot.
