It's been almost a year since I've had this light stand. Still brand new. I've been using it a lot and it's very sturdy. I would recommend it for anyone starting out in photography and needing some cheaper light set up.It holds my external flash holder and also my neewer light NL480.It's quick to set up. It's pretty light weight. Overall it's a great value for my money

I was sceptical on how well this would work. While I was excited by the price I had serious doubts that it was anywhere near as sturdy as i needed it to be.I was very hesitantly surprised because this is exactly what I needed to hold my studio light. It was much sturdier than I thought it would be and I greatly appreciated that it comes in one solid piece. I will certainly be purchasing a second and possibly third light when I set up the rest of my studio lights.
