Installation Tips: For Paper Backdrop Roll with Center Rod - Directly slot the paper backdrop into the expansion rod; For Muslin or Canvas Backdrop Without Center Rod - You'll need to get a center rod (e.g. 2 inches PVC pipe) and attach it to the expansion rod and roll the backdrop onto the pipe. (You can use water PVC pipe available in hardware shops, and cut it to any length to ensure the tube is longer than the width of the backdrop.)

Great quality, functional and priced reasonably. But not enough instructions!

As many others suggested, I installed it on my basement's ceiling. But I had a hard time with it. Make sure you have a stud-finder, or like me, hire a professional to do the job.

Also, I see some recommending to put pipes inside the rolls of seamless paper so they don't sag over time. I tried, and couldn't find anything to fit inside. All the pipes available at my HomeDepot were the same size as these rolls, and decided to hang them just as is. My rolls are not as long as some others, so I should be fine, but something to consider if you're purchasing seamless paper longer than 53".

I installed the roller system on 2 AutoPoles and all the parts work just fine. The brackets were compatible with Manfrotto super clamps. The package arrived fast and was very well packed.

A good product. No problem. It's plastic, but it's held my 3 paper backdrops for 4 months now without any problems.

I ordered this backdrop for my studio. The item is as described. I read some people saying the chain isn't good, but I wanted to give it a try. The chain is made from plastic. It's very hard and strong. it has good quality. If you have short ceiling like basement, attach it on the ceiling not wall.❣️A good tip for people with far stud: you can buy pipe and add in the side with out chain. It helps you to extend the length of your stemless backdrop paper.( the third image). Also you need to adjust the movement of paper from this side. Donot make it to tight or too loose.GOOD LUCK 🙂

***THIS IS NOT TYPICAL!!!***The instructions are lacking, although it's not that difficult. What many people don't realize is that the included hardware is for installation into masonry/concrete. I had some #10 3½" screws already and was able to use those to screw the brackets into the wall where my studs were located. Unfortunately, it wasn't a perfect match on the other end. As a result, I went to my local hardware store and found the drywall anchors pictured. Those, combined with the additional holes I drilled into the bracket were plenty to hold it up. You can see from the picture that the silver screws are those mentioned, and the brass colored ones are the 3½" screws. Again, I drilled additional holes, because I didn't have a stud to back the whole bracket up. I knew there was wood there, because I had just closed up some transfer vents, so that was sufficient to anchor the bottom with the additional holes and the drywall anchors were just added for additional support.THIS IS NOT TYPICAL! I'm just explaining what worked for me and how I was able to secure the brackets to the wall.UPDATE: We have since built a full photography studio on our property. Again, the length is not optimal to match studs on each end. I was able to transfer these out to the studio almost two years ago, and we purchased another set as well. I took some lengths of 1" PVC board and secured those to studs for the top and bottom holes, then a vertical piece to screw these brackets into. The PVC boards are laid out like an "H" lying on its side, with these brackets screwed into that vertical piece. The product itself is sturdy and plenty sufficient for its intended purpose. Great backdrop holder for a smaller budget.
