Canon should have honestly design all their battery to be like this; but of course they never will because you know companies want them to use their overpriced chargers. It's so great being able to just connect directly via USB-C to charge.Neewer is a Chinese budget brand, but they make some good products too.

What a great idea! I only have a Canon charger so the ability to be able to charge batteries just by plugging them into a USB wall charging adapter is amazing. After testing this battery I now believe that all batteries should have a USB-C charging port connection. I have tested the battery on my Canon EOS R and the battery works great without any issues. Battery life is good, it works with your standard Canon charger or a USB wall charging adapter (not included). This battery includes a USB-C cable and battery cover.

NEEWER Rechargeable Camera Battery with USB Type C Charging CableI’ve used several Neewer products for my photography needs and their quality and economical pricing always brings me back to them. This USB rechargeable battery is no exception. I was very happy to find a battery for my 80D that was capable of being recharged via USB-C – now I can charge it with my power bank or from a solar panel when in the field – great option. This battery has a power and life comparable to the standard batteries that I have used before (hundreds of photos, without flash, before needing to recharge). The tan color makes it easy to quickly distinguish from my other batteries. It fits my camera perfectly and I am very happy with this battery. I would recommend this battery to others. Well done, Neewer.

I have owned several NEEWER products through out the years, and they have all been great. This one is no exception. The concept of able to charge the battery by itself saved the trouble to carry battery charger around during trips. The LED indicator light is "red for charging" and "green for fully charged". I charged it fully and is able to record one FHD 60fps video (30 seconds long) and 630 photos (medium size, high quality, JPG) on my R6 without seeing any battery usage change. I do not see any functional change when uses this battery, such as high speed mechanical shutter, which still works while using this battery. I am happy with this battery so far, will update the review if more issues arises after a longer term usage.

So essentially this is a simple product. It is a high quality LP-E6 Canon compatible camera replacement battery. The battery is used in many Canon cameras. In addition some lights and other photographic accessories except this kind of battery. It tested at 1846 mA hours at 7.4 V. In addition its nominal voltage tested at 7.56 V. This is a good sign that the battery will be long-lived. And it has slightly more than the advertised capacity. But the special thing about this battery in the things that makes it awesome is it has a USB-C socket and you can charge it in directly without going through the inconvenience of finding a battery charger. This is a game changer when you’re out in the field. In addition I found that it charges quite quickly if you are using a high wattage PD USB-C cable. It’s truly the best of both worlds. The convenience of new fresh disposable batteries with the convenience and savings of rechargeables, without having to go hunt down and charger or find a plug. You can power these from any USB-C device or power bank. And of course you have the NEEWER support and guarantee.
