NEEWER TP-F970 10500mAh Replacement For NP-F970 Battery

I got this for my LED light. So far it is working great. I like having the larger battery so I have more time to use the light. There’s a great indicator on top of the battery so you know how much charge is left. I also like that there are both USB-A and USB-C ports for charging from the battery. The USB-C port is input and output. The battery has controllers to prevent overheating. The battery comes with a cover to protect the bottom when not in use. It snaps on. The battery is made well and I’ve charged and discharged without issues. Five star battery!

They last a long time, have a power indicator, and even have 5v out... what is not to like. Well worth the purchase if you need NP-Fxxx style batteries.

The Sony NP-F style of batteries is so common as a power source for so many of the different types of the photo and video equipment in my equipment inventory, it's nice to see a modern take on a battery type that's been around for a while. With the inclusion of USB-C charging, as well as the ability to serve as an external power bank to charge other devices, this Neewer NP-F970 battery has it all.Just the fact that this battery now has the ability to power even more types of devices as a relatively small 10500mAh power bank is a really cool feature, sending power out via either USB-A or USB-C. This will be a great size, for example, to pair with a GoPro to extend the shoot time dramatically compared to just the internal GoPro battery. Even just the ability to charge my cell phone in a pinch is pretty darn handy.I also really like having the battery level check button and lights. This makes knowing the state of charge so easy and is a really nice feature to have built right into the battery. A USB-C cable is also provided to pair with the 20W PD fast charging, bidirectional port.

Larger and more powerful than NP-F970Comes with a dark gray (rather than the more typical black) larger than NP-F970 battery, USB-C to USB-C charging cable, and a User Manual.Oddly the User Manual seems irrelevant to this particular battery but that's of no real consequence.The battery is a bit taller than the standard 970 so you must remember how that might impact the balance when using with lights, a camera monitor, or a camera that uses 970 batteries.One of my intended uses is with my Tilta NP-F battery adaptor for my Blackmagic Cinema 4K camera. That camera has a significant power draw so this batter adds much-appreciated longevity although the locking fit into the adapter is a bit more tenuous. I have to be careful it doesn't pop out. It's nice to get more light time using it with my NP-F-powered lights.While it can use the standard NP-F battery charger the unique advantage is that you can charge via USB-C although it does take close to five hours to charge from empty using a PD Fast Charge port. Both the USB-C and USB-A ports allow the battery to be used as a power bank which can be useful if you need to charge other items such as your smartphone or small light that might require USB charging. Additionally, the battery check with four LEDs is a great power check since you may avoid switching displays on your battery-powered device to check the battery state.Overall this is a great find at a great price as the extra power is greatly appreciated with some lights and USB power is quite useful to recharge other lights. If the larger size doesn't present a problem this is a great battery to have in your kit.
