This item used to mount lights for my lathe. Yes they are stiff, but when mounted solid they work great. I had used halogen lights before and they were good. But they created a lot of heat. Now I mounted led lights using these flexible mounts and they work great. Will buy more for my mill.

I use it with my flash and normal lights. It gives you nice extend and orientation flexibility. Very durable material and can be fixed to many light stands.
