NEEWER X11 2 in 1 11" Teleprompter with Monitor

This Neewer 2 in 1 teleprompter kit is certainly more bulky than some of their other teleprompter options, such as the folding model, but it is pretty easy to assemble and is quite solid once set up. All the connection points are toolless and it features a good amount of adjustability when it comes to the camera placement, which is also made simpler with just a black cloth sleeve with a drawstring at the end. This generally speaking is still quite effective and saves the need to match lens filter sizes to block out incident light from the camera side. The construction of the plastic dome does feel a bit thin but I find it to be perfectly good. The velcro cover for cellphone use does feel daunting to pull open but it's actually solid enough.When it comes to the rest of the hardware, I find the adjustments to be pretty easy to do, in part because I find they are accessible. One highlight I have is that the quick release plate holder works so satisfyingly well. I'm a bit sad that it doesn't feature a 1/4" or 3/8" thread mount underneath it, so you cannot dismount it to use on a tripod.As for the monitor that comes with it, it also just clicks into the mount solidly. Super simple operation to mount or dismount it. This monitor doesn't have the highest resolution nor generally speaking is it that great of a screen quality-wise, but for the means of a teleprompter it works just fine with the high contrast, since it's meant for text first and foremost. This monitor can run and be powered entirely by USB-C, but it can also do HDMI, both of which cables are included. The screen automatically flips the image around so you don't have to use any apps to get it running, though you can if you want for scrolling texts. It does mean that if you wanted to use this screen as a sub-monitor in normal day to day use, without the teleprompter itself, it won't be as suitable.The teleprompter "screen" mirror itself works nicely as can be seen in the pictures; texts show up clearly. With the dark side of the teleprompter properly closed off the clarity is even better. Of course, the mirror is very reflective so it would be important to not have too much light sources that can reflect from it.So, despite the bulk and the lack of a carrying box or case, I still rate these very high because it is a true all-inclusive teleprompter kit that isn't dependent on attaching a cellphone or tablet to serve as your screen, instead you can have it elsewhere for better control but connected to the included monitor.

For the price, this teleprompter delivers excellent performance. The image quality through the mirror is very impressive. You can clearly read the text on the screen, and at the same time, there is no visible trace of the glass in the recorded footage. It really works very well.The setup process is not overly complicated to the point of becoming annoying, but it certainly could have been designed with fewer parts and assembly steps. There are several components to put together, so the first-time setup takes a little patience. That being said, once everything is assembled, the structure feels solid and secure. I felt confident placing my camera on it without concerns.Another minor thing to mention is that the small display requires you to install software called Win USB Display, and I had to restart my computer during the setup process. But again, once everything was in place, it worked flawlessly.A nice feature is the flexibility of the system. You can easily use it with a phone setup or with a professional DSLR/mirrorless camera, which makes it suitable for many different kinds of creators and productions.The included monitor and screen mirroring functionality make it very practical for interviews, livestreaming, YouTube videos, presentations, or professional-looking talking head content.A minor flaw in my particular unit was that the button used to rotate the mirror assembly 90 degrees was a bit stiff. I had to struggle slightly to move the base back into the storage position after use. Thankfully, this does not affect the actual performance once it is assembled.Overall, this is an incredible value considering the level of performance and flexibility you get. If you do not mind the small inconveniences during the setup process, this is a very capable teleprompter that performs surprisingly well for the price.

First off, I really like this autocue, it's going to help lift the overall quality of my work by a large degree, but the learning curve to get it working has been a little steep.Opening up the box you'll find all the various parts necessary stowed away in cut-foam packaging. Note that there is no carry / storage case provided with the X11, so unless you're going to keep it mounted on a tripod permanently, make sure to keep the foam packaging & the shipping box as a place to store it safely.Assembly was easy & intuitive, putting everything into place on my spare tripod took only a few moments to accomplish, so gotta give top marks to the design team of the X11, it's a nicely built piece of gear.So now we come to the software aspect of it. You need to go to the Neewer site and find the appropriate app to run with the X11. You'd think that on the “Teleprompters” product page (or even the dedicated X11 product page), there'd be a mention, or even a link, for the necessary software, but no. You need to scroll down to the footer at the bottom of the page and then look for the “APP Downloads” link underneath the “Support” column header. Clicking through and scrolling down, you'll come to the “Neewer Teleprompter” (with versions for iOS, Android and Windows). Once you've downloaded and launched the app on your machine, it'll probably take a while to get a good grasp of how it operates, I found the lack of instructions and less-than-intuitive set up a wee bit frustrating. But hammer away at it and you'll figure it out eventually. And when you finally get it to work, it works well, running your scripting in the correct orientation so it appears on the beam splitter correctly, as well as allowing you to adjust font size and speed to suit your needs.Bottom line – if you do any production where you're talking to camera, this autocue can be hugely beneficial. Just expect to spend a certain amount of time getting up to speed with the software when you're starting out.

Great Teleprompter works great, wish there as a little more customization in the neewer app for speed a couple of the settings triple in speed instead of incrementing 1 step up for fine tuning. Also the sony 24-105 lens doesn't fit in the cut out for the lens to well it works but cant go inside. but pretty great set overall

This is a classic Neewer product, great value, solid and works well. For anyone working to camera who needs note assistance this works well and definitely worth considering.

I make my own youtube content so I jumped at the chance to get this. The build quality is really very good. It's very easy to use and made a world of difference to recording videos. The screen is nice and bright and works really well. One of the things I really like about this is the set up is so easy. I thought it might be tricky but it couldn't be simpler. The same can be said for using it as well. If you are recording for youtube content then I highly recommend getting this.

This set is impressive, it took only a few minutes to assemble and could be a great solution for a creator with a fixed setup.The small screen is bright and you can adjust orientation, brightness and provides more than adequate size for a desktop vlogging, podcast or other content creation. Included in the box is a USB A to HDMI and USB C for connecting windows laptops or desktops. Theres also a USB C cable which can connect to an iPhone, MacBook etc and the USB C provides power and video display. The app for the Mac and iPhone is simple to use and because it's a real teleprompter you do look like youre talking direct to the camera.Overall a great option ideally suited to a permanent creator setup.

This teleprompter is fantastic for anyone who wishes to create content where looking directly at the camera is requirement. Set up is generally very easy, a little bit of assembly and lining up and then you’re good to go. The build quality is as I’ve experienced with all Neewer products, which is great. So far, it’s worked flawlessly both using phones and full size cameras.Overall, a great product that’s easy to recommend

This is a great product from Neewer. Really well made from solid materials, clear screen and relatively intuitive to put together and get using.The beauty of this is you can use it as a classic teleprompter so when you're making content you can read your scripts without looking away from the lens, but you can also screen mirror, which means you can have zoom meetings and actually look like you're looking directly at the others in the meeting, rather than that weird looking down thing we all do. You'll find people asking you after a meeting how you do it :DI'm often impressed with the quality of Neewer's stuff and this is no exception, really impressive.
