I purchased this in January '24 with an 85cm softbox. I was so impressed with its performance and flexibility that I recently purchased a second one with a softbox and a CB60 as a hair light for a 3-point continuous lighting setup. The quality mobile app's ability to group and control all aspects of the lights, and RGB capabilities offer endless creative possibilities, along with the FX modes. These are fun lights that won't let you down.

If you're an aspiring photographer or videographer and want to quickly level up your work, proper lighting is key. This light from Neewer is a perfect option for those looking for quality without having to break the bank.The overall brightness produced by this light is impressive as it's consistent and easily adjustable. I've picked up some other less expensive lighting solutions on Amazon but they don't come close to comparing to the precision you can get with the adjustments on this light.The light's construction is well done as well, but its all-metal body does mean it's heavy, so you want to make sure you have decent tripods to support the weight when it's extended to higher levels. There are some tripods I've grabbed with those other lighting solutions that I absolutely wouldn't trust trying to support the weight of this light on.

I'm not an expert in video production, but the integration of the Neewer app with all compatible lights has certainly caught my attention. While these lights might not meet the exacting standards required by professional videographers, due to issues such as light consistency, they are an excellent choice for beginners or those just starting out on YouTube. The Neewer lights offer a solid performance that's sure to satisfy, and while I can't speak to their long-term durability just yet, the quality of materials used in both the CB100c ( fully made out of aluminum and fan noise well controlled by variable speed) and the RGB1 LED Tube is visibly superior. What's truly remarkable is the ability to create scenes within the app, a feature I couldn't achieve with GVM lights. As of now, I'm quite impressed. Considering the current promotions, it's hard to find anything else on the market that matches the price, quality, and stability offered by Neewer. Initially, I considered starting with Amaran lights, but their price is almost three times higher, and I doubt I'd notice any significant difference in color accuracy at my level of expertise. I plan to provide an update in the future, but my initial impressions are very positive.
