    This is a basic and compact tripod. The all-aluminum construction holds my camera firmly in place, and can be used as either a tripod or a grip. There is no adjustable ball-styleEach leg has rubber on the base, however on most surfaces, the legs will slip when supporting my Sony A6000 camera with 16-70mm lens on my (semi-glossy) desk surfaces. Alternate surfaces (even paper) perform better, and lighter items would likely be fine even on my desks.The height is low and would be ideal for well-supporting a camera mounted on a gimbal.Build quality is excellent – I strongly recommend this for use as a grip, or if you need a low-profile stand.

    This tripod did not disappoint. It is an all-metal construction. The legs swing out smoothly, and form a very stable platform. Great for holding cameras, microphones, lighting.Overall, I'm very pleased with this product!

    The Neewer Metal Mini Tripod is a great camera grip and compact tripod. The build quality is very good with an all-metal construction that feels solid and durable. It works great as a grip, but the smooth aluminum finish might feel a bit slippery. You can however put gaffer's tape along the legs to help with grip. As a tripod, the 3 legs rotate smoothly and can extend almost flat, providing a low height and very stable tripod mount. The feet of the legs are a rubber pad, providing grip on flat surfaces. This tripod held my RX1 camera stably, despite it being a fairly heavy mirrorless camera.
