Didn't fit my needs so I returned it but it's a nice little stand. Came a little scratched but it's not important. Base is stable. Main pole is aluminum, not steel as you can think. I love Neewer products for quality vs price balance. Opening rod all the way up didn't give me impression like it's super stable...but that's me. Overall it's a good product, I would recommend it.
Love these. They're easy to set up and easy to move. They don't go very high (as described), but they cover many of my daily use cases. I bought two and will probably get at least two more.
Well-made stands for work!
Fits my dust collector perfectly
I've been looking for a short and sturdy high quality stand for use as a reflector holder, that could also be used for a background light or table stand. This little stand is the perfect height, and more than sturdy enough to be in constant use in a variety of studio applications. Definitely a worthwhile investment.
I think NEEWER is one of the better, affordable options. I have stands, mounts, speedlights and triggers by this company and all are a good value. The description of this stand, as well as the close-up photos and instructions are all accurate. For the max weight of 22 pounds, I am actually surprised it's not higher because it's thick metal and I know the parts can hold way more. Maybe the reason for the lower weight is factoring in gear that has a center of gravity that is away from the center post? Also, the knob for securing the pole length adjustment is just the threaded screw end against the smooth post, so maybe with a lot of weight that would slip, but it seems unlikely with standard photo and video gear attached. The caster wheels are nice and the locking function works well. The stand folds quickly and without hassle but watch your fingers.
