I've used lots of Neewer stands and other products and this has to be the most heavy duty item of theirs that I used. The stand is well constructed with lots of solid metal. No cheap plastic or thin aluminum here. It is pretty tall when fully vertical. I measure just over 7'6" without wheels, so 8' with wheels. That means if you're using this in an apartment or house, you have to be very careful not to hit the ceiling when switching from vertical to boom arm modes. The boom arm itself is very solid and the angle adjustment has nice big teeth to provide more than just basic friction locking. The handle for locking is also ratcheting, so you don't have to spin it in full circles, but can partial turn, pull the handle slightly out and reset the position, and turn it some more. Very convenient. The end of the boom arm offers both a 1-1/8" junior pin receiver as well as a spring loaded, retractable 5/8" baby pin, the two standards for cinema light mounting. I also appreciate the air cushioned central mast. If one of the locks comes loose, it will keep the thing from crashing down. As you can see in my video, it drops rather slowly and even when I apply a ton of pressure (I was probably applying at least 40 lbs), it still sinks pretty slow. I think it's a great safety feature, even if it does take a little longer to lower down on purpose. The wheels roll nicely and all have brakes that work well. The stand includes an empty sandbag and inside that are a couple wrenches for attaching the wheels, an allen key for tightening any of the compatible screws, and a tiny, lightweight carabiner which isn't really good for anything that I can think of. The one thing I wish is that there was a better method for being able to attach a counterweight or hang a sandbag off the rear of the boom arm. While there is a passthrough hole in the end, I'm not sure how you would use that to secure anything. But overall I'm pretty impressed with the level of build quality Neewer has brought with this very heavy duty stand.

Excellent for content creators who need a rolling (portable) all in one studio. Mount your light(s), camera, mic, monitor etc to this and just roll it around where ya need it. Secure your wires nice and neatly, and just have one main power cord to plug in unless you want to power everything by battery. Highly recommend, watch some YouTube videos out there.

Quite a large, sturdy light stand capable of holding up any light I can think of, including hollywood-grade ones (think ARRI, Cineo, etc... perhaps). The crossbar is built in to the light stand, making storage very convenient.I think the overall design is good with plenty versatility. It's only shortcoming is the bulkiness and weight, which should be considered prior to use.

This might be the first time "Heavy duty" ever meant something on amazon. This light stand is no joke. Perfect for serious commercial work in photography or filmmaking.Even without sandbags on the bottom, this stand is very stable due to it's wide legs and heavy weight.Yet it rolls and glides with ease. If you're using light modifiers you'll want sandbags though. The air cushioned poles have about 4inches of travel and help prevent heavy lights from sliding down fast and getting damaged. The all metal construction feels like it will live longer than i will...Perfect light for commercial work.

The Neewer 10ft Air Cushioned Light Stand represents in quality and function all of the assertions made by the seller; Neewers description is straightforward and accurate. The extending poles are spring and air cushioned, preventing the sudden stop and shock of free-falling equipment. The attached castors have high-quality rubber wheels and roll and turn smoothly without any kink or hesitation, allowing for convenient repositioning of an attached light. The foam padded handgrip makes controlling and moving the stand comfortable, and allows for a firm grip when doing so.Extending and collapsing the leg struts is simple and quick. Spring-loaded Levers on each leg, that run along channels, click into grooves to lock the struts, then pulled out of them to collapse the struts. Once unlocked the struts fold upward to minimize the stands footprint for storage and transport. In each position, extended and folded, the struts are firmly locked with a lever.Including that which locks the struts, there are a total of three propeller levers, with the other two used for locking the extending poles; they all work smoothly and lock firmly without undue tensing, as it should be on well-made photographic equipment.I use the stand with a boom arm attached. With heavier lights or longer extensions of the boom, I place sandbags on the struts and a counter-weight at the opposing end of the boom. Even in that configuration, with considerable added weight, the stand continues to move and operate smoothly in all respects. The Neewer 10ft Heavy Duty Light Stand makes a useful addition for both studio and location work. As brawny and stout as it is, I can still lift and carry it easily with one hand. The Cushioned Light Stand is another fine product from Neewer.

I decided to get the stand for our YouTube channel. The stand is sturdy and well made, although; I do wish the legs/bottom were a little heavier. I have sandbags on the legs to hold the arm that extended from moving. The air cushion spring is fast, so make sure to hold onto the metal from it shooting up.The wheels work extremely well and are super quite and smooth. They locks with ease and prevent the stand from moving or sliding. Overall, I am very pleased with stand, quality, and features.

This is a solid professional mount for lights and studio equipment. VERY well built and easy to assemble. My setup for a rolling vlog station with a DJI Pocket 3 in attached photo. Very solid and stable mount.
