  • ø28mm Stud- The ø28mm stud can be attached to a light stand, or a roller stand with the ø28mm junior receiver, transforming the stand into a junior stand. Also compatible with Matthews Kupo Manfrotto C stand
  • ø28mm Receiver- The ø28mm receiver can firmly secure any compatible photographic equipment using the locking knob, providing expanded functionality.
  • V Shaped Jaws- The four V shaped jaws come in varying diameters of 10mm, 16mm, 19mm, and 25mm. They are designed to grip overhead frames, scrims, C stand boom arms, and other accessories with exceptional security. The handle can be used to tighten, loosen, or fully rotate the plates for added convenience.
  • Secure Locking- The grip head is equipped with an excellent locking mechanism. Teeth inside the V shaped jaws increase friction, and the soft pad ensures a secure and stable grip.

This is a very large, and very heavy grip/mount head . . . definitely not in the realm of the amateur or home studio type of situation.At it's base, there is a junior pin. Above that, to one side is a junior receiver, and opposite, a grip clamp with a "ratcheting" handle. Very nice, extremely well built and finished, and quite weighty.It is designed for, and will readily accept and support more massive heavyweight fixtures and/or arms. At the moment mine is on a cine stand, with a small boom held in the grip head. The unit is secure and I have no hesitations about trusting expensive gear to it.The finish is very smooth, and a bit odd. There is a slight "warmth" in the colour of the matte finish . . . almost like a very faint or faded bronzish coloration. I mention it because I am familiar with most grip manufacturers gear and I have never seen a finish like this before. It looks great.The tightehing knob and the ratchet lever function smoothly and with no hiccups . . . they just work. The mounting pin, a junior, is actually removable and changeable though I don't know why anyone would put in something else, unless of course you wanted to mount the grip head on a stand with a junior pin at the top. If you want to do so, you will neeed an allen/hex key, as it is mounted in a semi-permanent manner.The price is very reasonable for what it is and the quality.Neewer's goods (for the most part) just seem to be getting better and better!

As others have mentioned, this is a big, solid and heavy piece of gear. The photos in the listing do not do it justice. This is a substantial professional-grade item.I brought this to set on one of my shoots and the grip and gaffer really liked it. It mounts onto what we call a 2K stand (28mm receiver) and gives you a heavy-duty grip head as well as a 2K receiver. This means you can use a single stand to mount a light, then use the built-in grip head to control the light with flags or gel frames without requiring an additional stand.The grip head tightening lever has a red button that allows you to reposition it in situations where you cannot turn it far enough due to obstructions. This feature, combined with the leverage you get from its lever shaped design lets you tighten items very securely.It would be nice if the manufacturer would let us know how much weight and force it is designed and rated for. Some people will not be comfortable using it in a professional environment without knowing its safe working loads.

If you're building your first c-stand, then start with this! It's tough as nails and just feels pro-level. It can accommodate arms of different diameters, and when I add an accessory stud or pin, then a lot of different accessories open up for expansion. It also offers two interesting details that I haven't seen before: a thick rubber gasket that improves tightening resistance (eliminates metal-on-metal wear), and what they call a "safety button" to operate the handle. It's heavy, but then again by removing a second gobo out of the equation, then this single head took on multiple duties without any challenges. Just be sure that you're paying attention to the 28mm dimensions of the sockets when choosing additional accessories.

NEEWER 4-1/2" Junior Grip Head with 28mm Stud & 28mm Receiver, 4.5" Stainless Steel Grip Head for Heavy Duty Junior and Combo Stands, Extension Boom Arm, Overhead Frames, Scrims, Grip Arms, ST-C1I won't restate the product stats. I will simply say that, having used grip heads for decades, this is one of the better ones. It is well fashioned metal, is very stout and will support loads in line with its specs with aplomb. There are less expensive grips without all the bells and whistles. For a few dollars more, the quality is there and the added versatility justify the price. Excellent piece of kit. Worth considering. Recommended without reservation.

Neewer really has a nice selection of stands and after picking up a couple of their C-stands and a couple lightstands I was really impressed with the both the construction and the quality. This piece follows in that trend and really makes a great add on to my kit.First thing you notice is that this head is SOLID. Heavy all metal construction really makes me happy to use it with any stand I own. Its like adding a grip head AND two sandbags in one unit. All the hardware turns nicely, very smooth with no binding. Everything I've put into or onto this head held in place perfectly.I'm really happy with it and its a permanent part of my kit from now on.

This colossal C stand heavy duty mount arm attachment for lights and other accessories will take anything you can throw at it and more.Build: This is an all thick gage metal alloy. That weighs about 4 lbs. Everything on this product is high end. This is a tank, built to last those 14 hour days on set. With it's economic handle grip. That has detent and free range of motion with a pull of the pin. To the high grade screws that will be the fulcrum points for securing your head and lights. To the accessory holsters that have multiple size options. This is what high grade manufacturing looks like. Even the mat powder finish looks great.Uses: This type of fixture, is mainly for big C stands, that have a boom arm. The main uses are for high output lighting that will permeate a scene. Above the view point of the audience. Within the context of a framed shot. Within the artistry of film making your imagination will make good use of this type of fixture. You can even run and gun with ease thanks to the ergonomic design.Final thoughts: This product if well taken care of will last you for decades. It's that well built. If you need a workhorse that won't let you down at a great price. I recommend this product hands down.

This is a gripe head to end all grip heads for me. This is the perfect HEAVY-DUTY (caps intended) grip head for my C-stand. This is a beast! Weighing in at nearly 3 lbs., This thing is smooth to operate, easy to lock into place, worry free in operation. I am not going to be worrying about my equipment while using this head. I love that It does double duty as well! I can have a flag on the head as well as a strobe on the extension receiver. The grip handle makes for easy opening and closing of the head and the safety button does its job. Just make sure that the 28mm receiver fits your equipment. Yes, it is on the higher end for a head, but it is going to outlast that plastic one by about 3 lifetimes. Highly recommend!
