A: The standard tripod included with the NL660 kit can usually be extended by loosening the knobs or levers on each section of the legs or the central tube. Loosen the knob by turning it counterclockwise (or open the lever), extend the desired section upward to your preferred height, and then tighten the knob (or close the lever) to secure that section.
Q: How do you turn on the NEEWER NL660 and set the color temperature to 5600K?
A: To turn on the NL660, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. To set the color temperature to 5600K, turn the cool light knob fully to the right while keeping the warm light knob fully to the left.
Q: Is it possible to order spare parts, such as a new frame, for your NEEWER NL660 lights if the case has broken where it is secured to the bracket with screws?
A: Yes, we can assist you with replacement side pieces for your NEEWER NL660 lights. If your product is out of warranty, we can sell you these parts at cost price and ship them from one of our warehouses, depending on your location.
Q: Can you recommend compatible batteries for the NEEWER NL660 Bi-Color LED Panel Light?
A: Yes, I can recommend several NP-F series replacement batteries that are compatible with the NEEWER NL660 Bi-Color LED Panel Light, such as the Neewer NP-F970, NP-F750, NP-F550, NW-F970D, and TP-F970 models. The higher the model number (550 vers 970); the greater the capacity of the battery.
I'm extremely happy with it. I haven't used it to shoot video yet, but the brightness, control of the brightness (with a simple dial), and control over color temperature with a simple dial are easy and effective.
I will be using it in a studio, and not moving it around. so for me, the build quality is absolutely fine.
Somebody whose mother tongue is English clearly did not proofread the instruction pamphlet. I would recommend it.
The NEEWER NL660 emits a nice bright light that is adjustable in brightness by using the two analog knobs on the back of the unit. You can also dial in how much yellow (warm) or blue (cool) light you want by utilizing the dials and adjusting to your preference. The LED light comes in a nice storage/carrying case which is well padded. Light and accessories fit nicely inside keeping everything contained. The LED unit itself is built like a tank, mostly metal with minor plastic parts. Because it is mostly all metal construction, it is a bit heavier than most lights of this type. There is also a plastic/acrylic difuser screen that is already installed but can be removed if desired. The barn doors are a very cool feature of this light as it helps you control light spill and adjust them so that the light falls where you want it to. The backside is where you find all the controls and switch to go between battery power or wall power. There's two slots in the back where you can put a couple of NP-F550 or NP-F970 type batteries in there to make this a truly portable unit. Together with the included light stand makes this an all in one portable unit to go wherever you need it to.Recommend for anybody who needs a quality light, be it for video or still photography. The included tripod/stand is of decent quality as well and does a good job holding up the light. The review ranking system that I use:⭐️1 star - Don't recommend at all, poor quality, misleading listing and/or other issues⭐️⭐️ 2 stars - Don't recommend, has multiple issues⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 stars - Passable, may have some faults/issues but the quality is ok for what it is⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars - Quite acceptable, does what it says & would or may purchase again⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars - Highly recommended product, better than average rating
I’ve been using the NEEWER NL660 for about a week now, and it has been a solid upgrade for my home studio setup. It features Bi Color LED Video Light in which it has 330 warm white and 330 cool white LEDs that emit up to 3300lx/1m. The light is bright enough for product shots and content creations. I love how easy it is to switch between warm and cool tones depending on the vibe I’m going for, this light just works. I can match the mood of the shoot without struggling with filters or extra gear. And the brightness is more than enough for indoor setups, even in rooms with poor natural light.Setup is quick, just extend the stand, angle the light, and I am ready to shoot. The rotating bracket and barndoors make it easy to control the light direction, which is super helpful when I’m filming in tighter spaces. When I shoot outside, I just need to pop in a battery (sold separately) and don’t worry about cords. It’s built solid too. No noisy fans, no overheating, and it’s compact enough to put in a bag. For anyone doing content creation, interviews, or even makeup tutorials, this kit is worth it. Compact, powerful, and easy to carry, it is definitely a good buy.
I ordered this NEEWER Bi Color LED Studio Light with Tripod Stand Barndoors from NEEWER knowing that It is a great Bi-Color LED Light, as I have 2 older red versions of this light. I like it's black color, and how the NP-F batteries are now placed to each other, The longer AC power cord was a nice addition with the included heavy duty light stand as well. I also like that it now has 2 knobs for light control the warmer yellow light, and the daylight white one, Now both controls can be used at the same time for even more great lighting. I use 2 NP-F970 batteries with this LED Light, and they give it some all day power for my video shoots. Over all I am really impressed with this nice Bi-Color LED Light from NEEWER...
I've used lighting kits from a dozen different companies over the last 20 years - starting with incandescents, the move to CF bulbs, the to LEDs in many configurations. So I am coming with a lot of experience with what works and what is problematic. This light arrived well-packaged in a functional carrying case with custom foam insert that fits the pieces nicely. Nothing needs to be put together. Simply take the light out of the case, plug it in, unfold the built-in metal barn doors - which are very effective and no light in production should be without. The stand for the light is all metal and very easy to extend, lock and adjust. The legs on the base have a wide enough span to keep it very stable in use. Drop the light onto the top of it, tighten a locking screw and you are ready to go.In terms of usability, I give it high marks. The controls for light temperature and brightness are clearly marked knobs and on/off is a flip switch with good feedback and a power on light. All controls are on the back of the light, so they are easy to access even with the stand fully extended. The light is bright enough to get good coverage on subjects out to about 20 feet, and CRI96+ support lets to get accurate color from what you are lighting. With the barn doors and easy to lock/unlock tilt on the light, it is easy to control your lighting positionally. After being on for 40 minutes, the light was only warm to the touch. This was great for being able to pack the light back up quickly without a protracted cool-down period. The light also has two slots for Sony-style camcorder batteries (NP-F550 or NP-F970) for use without an AC adapter - which is great on location. These are also widely available cheaply if you don't already have some (which I did).Overall, I was very impressed. Good, stable working light without bells and whistles like remotes or phone controls which I seldom use anyway. Good dimming and color temp control combined with powerful output makes it a good piece for on the go use, and I am a big fan of Neewer in terms of long-term reliability. I highly recommend this light and stand.

It is my second one
I love my led ring right, it perfect and bright but I which it was a little brighter
Can adjust both the warmth and brightness. Would prefer the ability to preset to a number for consistency.Good light, but I find it a bit clunky to adjust its angles. This might be just me.
My video quality as went from 0-1000 just wow
Well made. Sturdy. Bright. Great for an extra light for food photography.
