NEEWER 2 Pack NL-288ARC 45W Bi-Color LED Panel Light Stand Kit

Overall this is a good lighting setup for videography when recoding content or a small podcast. The light panels are a good size and easy controls. Light color can be changed from 3200k - 5000k as well as a dial to control the light intensity (a remote is also included). It takes a few minutes to set up but comes with a bag with enough compartments for storage.The stands are lightweight but not flimsy at all. There is an attachment so the panels can be angled up or down. The panels are made to be used in landscape position.The light intensity is good for a small to medium sized room. The two panels light up a face and and area well. Input them about 4-6 feet away from the subject in my review photos.I like Neewer products and even have a similar and older Neewer light kit but the panels are smaller. Only drawbacks is that they do not have barn doors and I cannot find gels large enough unless I buy a roll. By then there’s no gel holder. My old set has all of this. Still a great lighting setup that I am happy with.

I got these to upgrade from an old set of Neewer LED lights. Neewer is a name I trust, and I have many of their products. These lights are great. I set up and use flat panel LED lights about twice a week so I’ve been able to test these for several weeks. The one thing that really stands out to me is the spread of light. I don’t see any hot spots and the light is consistently even across the area being lit. It’s a really nice diffused light and much better than my old set of lights. I’m also impressed with the amount of light that they give off. The color temperature is adjustable as well as the brightness. The color temperature seems accurate to me although I don’t have a way to calibrate so I’m only going off of sight and comparing to other lights I have. The controls are easy to navigate and very straight forward. The digital screen is easy to read, too. It does come with a remote control, although not something I really use. The build of the lights to me is good quality. They seem durable like they will last awhile.The lights come with a carrying case and stands. It’s a nice case with ample pockets and areas for everything. The bag has plenty of room and when you place the lights back in it, they easily fit without feeling like your stuffing or cramming your equipment in. One thing I really like is the small side pockets for the cords. As someone who’s replaced many cords over the years, this will hopefully protect these longer by keeping them in their own space. I also like that the cords are long! I can extend the light stands fully and still have plenty of cord to plug them in. The light stands are what I would consider average quality. They do have a wide base to hold the lights and everything feels sturdy and secure.One of the nicest features of these lights is the portability. You do have the option of also using batteries with the lights if using them remote, and I did try them with batteries I had on hand. However, where I typically use LED panel lights, I have plug-in electricity. However, it’s nice to always have options and I do plan to do a project with these where I will be relying on the battery setup. They are also not terribly heavy and the bag has both the shoulder strap and a padded handle. They are easy to tote around.So far I have not experienced any flickering or dimming of the lights while in operation. They are quiet and I didn’t notice any excessive heat from them. I would recommend them.

This is a nice light panel kit that comes with everything you need other than a battery.

The LED lights arrive in a handy carrying case with a slot for each section. It is fairly easy to assemble the lights onto the tripod, and each piece secures firmly before and after adjustment so that you don’t need to worry about height slips or any tilt drifting during long-term usage.

A single remote is provided with multiple channel usage, and you can use it to control both lights together or each light separately There is also a control panel on the back of each LED light to control the Kelvin scale of light as well as dimming and brightness.

This set arrives with a cord and plug in with the plug-in box provided for each light.

They function very well but can heat up a bit with prolonged usage.

Disassembly is quick and easy, and it is also easy to restore the entire kit back into the carry bag for transportation or storage.

The main reason I am removing a star is because it was not clear that the battery option would be so difficult. It appears that you need some sort of an apparatus that will hold the battery that slides onto the back and this piece was NOT provided for either light. I have been unable to find a way to purchase this piece separately, so if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be grateful. Was this piece supposed to be provided, because it seems like something I should not need to purchase on my own.

Otherwise, these lights worked great for me at several pop-up photo booth events at large venues with terrible lighting situations.

I purchased a pair of these as later in the afternoon, at my studio, it can get fairly dark. These help immensely. I also used one of them at an event in a restaurant where the lighting was less than optimal. Fantastic and easy to set up!

no need to pay for professional equipment, these are good enough

Semi retired animal photographer.What I like about these light pads...Quick plug in and go.Simple strength and warmth dialing in.I really love the neat and tidy look. Very low profile when not in use.I purchased these for ease of use, quick prep and zero noise to startle animals.Perfect for quick adoption photography .Price was also really reasonable!What I don't like: Really nothing so far!

I run these at 1% brightness for my YouTube setup, plenty of light, can easily use for filming at night
