Simple adapter that definitely makes a difference in minimum focal distance allowing for really interesting macro shot using non macro lenses. I think it's important to make the distinction that this is a fun addition to the toolkit but not a complete replacement for macro lens. For most people this will allow you to take shots that you might have struggled to without a macro lens and is enough to make this a useful tool.As others have mentioned, some vignetting is unavoidable with this lens despite the description saying otherwise but once you get the hang of it, it can simply become part of the aesthetic of the photo. Overall worth trying for anyone wanting to do more macro photography without the massive investment into lenses.

This is a very clever little add-on lens. You can attach it in 2 ways - if you have a 43mm threaded lens it can be screwed on directly, but more likely you will be using the snap-on mount which fits onto a 55-72mm threaded lens with a little spring clip (a lot like how you attach most lens caps).The packaging on this is on point - it comes in a little hard shell case with a custom cut-out for the lens itself and the glass is quite substantial in your hand. This is not just some cheap plastic lens and it shows in the materials!Usage wise it's super easy to use - just screw the lens into the snap-on mount and then clip it onto your existing lens to use. Boom! Instant macro. The lens focuses super close and worked best on my mid-long range telephoto lenses. For shorter than 50mm I did notice some more vignetting and for lenses at the top range of the mount (72mm) the mount itself doesn't fully cover the existing glass so just be aware of that.Of the available lenses I had to try this with found it worked best with a 40-150mm on my G9. I did also love that it worked perfectly with the existing camera's Autofocus which has often been a hit-or-miss thing for me with other "add-on" lenses such as extension tubes or telephoto extenders.Is this as good as a dedicated Macro lens? Absolutely not, but dedicated macros are incredibly expensive and I just don't take this kind of shot near enough to justify having one in my collection. The shots I got using this were good enough, and doubly so with the help of Photoshop these days.This hits a really good middle of the road for me and I think will be well suited for a lot of hobby photographers as well - it's a nice way to take occasional, or begin experimenting with, macro shots without a big investment and it's both lightweight and fast to switch on and off an existing lens. I really liked it when out walking about since I could pop it on for a quick shot and then back off again.

I didn't know something like this existed before I saw this one from Neewer. And I'm impressed!It's surprisingly easy to use--and just as surprisingly versatile. You just attach Neewer's small macro lens to their flexible lens mount adaptor and attach it to any number of your lenses.You'll get different performance from different lenses (some focal ranges result in dark circles on the outside of your image), but just being able to have a reasonably priced macro option you can use with so many prime or zoom lenses could really come in handy.
