Very good base for tube lights. I bought these to put my TL120 each side of my desk for videos. They are all metal, very sturdy and stable. Easy to carry around for shoots. The rubber at the tips are non slippery and prevents from scratching floors. I definitely recommend

This stand is heavy (which is a good thing!). I like that it folds up for storage. It's about a foot (12") long when folded though it expands to a stable tripod base. It doesn't wobble when expanded. The screw thread is a standard 1/4"-20 so it should be compatible with many different items (including many cameras or standard flashes) so you can use it for more than just a video light.

This all-metal tripod base (model CTN5) offers a very stable stand and, due to its sturdy construction, a payload of >7kg / or 16 pounds is quite a lot -- way more than all scenarios I have in mind would need.With its 1/4-inch screw connector I could basically mount anything that has that connection type, from cameras to tube lights, and selfie stick.To elaborate on the latter, with its wide stand, which requires an area of ca. 18-inch by 15-inch, the tripod base is ideal for long time lapse shots, e.g. with an action camera or a phone on a selfie stick, especially when it is windy, and you can't watch the tripod all the time. Paired with an extra weight, which are available for 1/4" mounts, this is a super stable stand.On a daily basis I will use it with a tube light which wouldn't require such a sturdy tripod base, but it just looks more professional and not that flimsy. Especially for placements on the floor it is good to know that it doesn't get knocked over so easily and again, it looks better.This is a useful accessory for many purposes -- it is foldable and due to its sturdy construction, it weighs in at 750 grams / or 1lbs 10 oz on my scale. Not lightweight, but its purpose is providing a stable base.
