Small but powerful little light

Great for the price! I bought this for other’s to use. People tend to break my more expensive equipment and have a hard time paying for it. So, I needed something cheap with good quality that is more cost effective to replace. No issues so far.

Yeah, this one is on me. In the world of bi-color COB lights, I just assumed that this one would be able to do a gamut of whites. It can't It's only 5600k. Which isn't the worst thing in the world, and it's a way better option that if it was locked at like 2400K.This thing is small and lightweight. It has a surprisingly robust light stand mount. I was a bit worried at first on how the mount would work with holding a pretty big diffuser, but it works just fine. I'm only going to be using this for a fill light or maybe a hair light, but if you are working on a budget, this could probably do as a key. My particular use for this is in a small room with a black wall where we shoot talking heads, and for a fill, I'm only using it at 2% power. I'm assuming that if you had good enough diffusers or reflectors you could use this in a much brighter and bigger space. It's got two knobs that turn and push in to control, so easy enough to control. It has some fancy options for lighting that I'll never use or explore. I don't need it to emulate lighting for interview style videos. If you only need 5600k, spend the money. If you want some more versatility, I'd suggest that you keep looking and buy something that does bicolor stuff. I kind of wish that I would've spent some more money and went a different direction, but once I figured out that it only has one color I pivoted and made it work. For what it is, it's not a bad light for the money.

I thought this one can be changes to all kelvins but its just 5600, cant change it. I can change the brightness. Build is high quality. No noise so far, works with neewer softbox, not that weight, price was ok too, it would have been great if i could change the kelvin.

This compact Neewer light performs very well. It seems to far exceed 65 watt rating. It runs reasonably cool and its fan pretty quit. Good controls and plenty of light for an in studio video shoot. It's nice that it also comes with the Bowens adapter. Great light. In the video I was using it to create lightning effects at Halloween.

I have several continuous lighting options in my arsenal and the majority of my work is mobile so this light really fits in with my work flow due to its size. Yes it's only a 65w light but it does pack the punch I need. I typically use this as a rim light to separate my subjects from the background and it works flawlessly for this... if I need to splash soft light against a wall, the included Bowens adapter works great with my modifiers. The fan is virtually silent... I never pick it up through my mics so that is an excellent feature. The intensity settings are very subtle with the turn of a knob... these aren't hard steps dimming, you can easily dial the intensity in to the perfect amount of light. The FX are an added feature but really don't play into my review... I just don't ever have the need for the FX but it has all the standards you find on any LED light source now.The app control is a bit clunky... there have been several times I would have used it but opted to adjust the lighting manually instead of fighting the app.. almost like the app control was an afterthought. I wish all the lighting companies would just get together and make a universal UI for us so that we weren't having to create accounts and having to remember what light does what... etc. I honestly don't know if I have more than 2 of the same light manufacturer at this point. If you're looking for a great light that is easy to transport, this would be a solid choice IMO.

This light fits into my video kit perfectly. I love the fact that it has enough light output for every project I have worked on so far. My work is commercials for small businesses and music videos. Unless you have a huge production then I think that this light will handle most projects. At a minimum it makes a great fill light, but for me it is a perfect key light for interview style videos.
