Amazing battery tech for a great price. I only wish they would add a gold mount version. Love how you can recharge it via usb-c and you can power usb-c devices with it. I also love the readout. Its very nice!

This is a very nice looking V-mount battery with features that make it perfect for powering a camera rig or supplying power for devices while on a plane or camping:> Almost all of the connectors are on the TOP so cabling should be easier; output connectors are 8V / 12V / USB-A / USB-C x 2> The D-tap is on the side, but that is also toward the TOP> Battery charges up quickly via the USB-C> The USB-C output is PD 100W and you can run devices like a camera, lights, computer, etc.> This is a 99Wh battery so it's the max size you can take on your carry-on luggage for major US airlines> It even has a smartphone APP that lets you monitor battery life, temp status, as well as each output portBattery comes with one D-tap to D-tap cable and one USB-C to USB-C cable. To get the iOS or Android Neewer battery app, just open the instruction booklet to page 7 and scan the QR code with your phone. This NEEWER Mini V Mount Battery is awesome for my camera setup. The 6800mAh capacity means I don’t have to swap batteries all the time, and it has multiple ports (USB-C, D-Tap, etc.), so I can charge different devices easily. The OLED screen makes it simple to check the battery life, and I love that I can control it with the NEEWER app. It’s small, reliable, and a must-have for filming!

Smaller V Mount battery but still good for sub 100W lights and cameras and monitors. The design is nice, but not necessary LOL. The app feature is a nice touch, but the display screen is just fine as well. What really stands out are the multitude of ports on top - two USBCs in AND out and usb a and a 12v and 8v. Usually you get half those port amounts and you get a display screen to see if you're putting too many devices in. Pop your phone on while powering your DSLR, Ninja, and audio recorder.

I've had the chance to own a ton of different V-mount batteries over the past year and can say with confidence that Neewer has improved quite a bit. The original PS099 was fine but they finally listened to feedback and moved the ports to the top! This is really important as the old version had them on the side so it limited the spots one could mount cables for specific camera rigs. I personally never had an issue but I know some FX owners hated the original placement. I should be able to get away with shorter cable runs for my A7III and RV because of this change. I'm not the biggest fan of the cheap door they use to cover the ports but it'll get the job done and should keep any gunk out of that area. Like the previous model, I'm a big fan of the side grips they use as they work well with gloves. I'm not very likely to use the bluetooth feature but I could see this being pretty handy if you need to keep a camera or light running while working on the other side of a room. While this is a really nice battery that has been nicely improved, it still doesn't compare to the Smallrig counterparts. Smallrigs VB99 comes with a beautiful color display, LG cells as well as a ultra premium feel that keeps this model slightly behind. Its also odd to me that the price for this is $250, the same as the VB99. The one standout feature that only Neewer has is the bluetooth monitoring feature so I guess that's the only big reason I could say to pick this particular model. The only reason to spend the extra $100 for this battery instead of the cheaper models is for the 100W capability, something that really isn't necessary unless you have high powered lights or run a bunch of devices off the thing. All in all, make sure you check which battery you can get away with, this is about as large as they'll allow on an airplane (as one battery) and keep in mind that these larger batteries will make your camera feel like a massive brick. I highly recommend getting the V-mount belt clip from Smallrig if you need to use this with a camera/monitor, it makes a world of difference for longer shoots. All in all, this is a great 100W solution if you need that kind of power, It works really well and Neewer seems to stand behind their products with decent warranties.
