Charge batteries inside the vertical grip via a separately purchased USB Type C cable. Note: Batteries are not included. EN-EL15a and EN-EL15 batteries cannot be charged inside the battery grip
  • Retain Main Functions- The shutter release button, main and sub command dials, AF ON button, Fn button, and multi selector make vertical shooting as smooth and intuitive as horizontal
  • Never Interrupt Shooting- The hot swappable MB-N12 enables you to replace one of the batteries without turning the camera off and keep the shooting going. Note: Only hot swappable when two batteries are installed

⭐ Honest Voice ⭐
Adding this grip to my camera has made long shoots much easier. It’s comfortable to hold and I can swap batteries without missing a beat. Perfect for weddings where I need to switch between group shots quickly.However, it does make the camera a bit bulkier. For me, the extra size is worth the extended battery life and added control. If you often shoot for long periods, this grip is a great investment.

This is another fantastic product by NEEWER, I have ordered a lot of products from NEEWER and this alternative Nikon Z8 MB-N12 is a winner. I am still waiting for my new Nikon Z8 which is back ordered because of a recent Nikon sale but I was able try it out at my local camera shop.It was easy to install and it feels excellent in my hands once attached. The battery grip has a great texture feel and all the buttons is near identical to Nikon's OEM except the price. Batteries were easy to install like the original and you can recharge the batteries while in the battery grip like Nikon's OEM. It has the same ergonomic feel in the hand holding it in all position.This is an great option alternative to save money getting this battery grip and put the money towards other lens. NEEWER makes excellent photo gear that is a perfect fit every time from my experience and I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone.

This was easy to install on the camera and remove when i didn't need the extra juice or bulk. It's bit of a learning process but it does get easier fast.The grip itself is comfortable to hold and the controls on it made it easy to shoot even with the extra bulk.

I've been very happy with this replacement vertical battery grip from Nikon. It's a fraction of the price of the OEM Nikon grip while offering effectively the same functionality. Build quality is solid and this fits flush with the Nikon Z8. It was recognized instantly and I had no issues with the vertical AF button not working. This allows you to double your battery life with two battery slots in this. I like that this has the second shutter button for vertical orientation, making it much more ergonomic to take photos in portrait orientation. While this does feel more plasticky compared to the original body, considering the price savings, I really don't mind. This is functional at an excellent price. 100% would recommend!

I've been pleased with the quality of Neewer photographic products. This battery grip duplicates the functionality of the Nikon grip for an excellent price.The EnEL15c batteries are small in the Z8, Z7 and Z6 series cameras and don't last for a day of heavy shooting like a wedding or sporting events. The grip allows for 2 batteries and the outer one can be hot-swapped in the field without shutting down like in the middle of a video for example.The trickiest part for me was taking the door off the camera for the first time. I had to watch a couple of Youtube videos to gauge how much force and what angle to apply pressure. Once you get it, it's easy to do. The grip has a clip recess that holds the door so you don't lose it.You can charge batteries in the grip through the onboard USB-C port.The controls duplicate the shutter, front and rear command dials and the thumb selector. Being able to quickly switch to vertical shooting and have the shutter button under your finger immediately is great - especially for weddings and events where you are switching quickly back and forth between group and couples photos.While the grip isn't heavy it is large - making the Z8 + grip larger than a Z9 with the built-in grip. For my purposes, it goes on when I need it and is actually more flexible, since I can take it off when I don't need it and enjoy the smaller/lighter camera.
