I really like the spring loaded functionality on this light stand.When you have heavy expensive lighting, the last thing you want is an insecure rig.This product feels solid and works a treat.

I am very satisfied with this Neewer stand. They are well-made and at a good price tag. The aluminum construction is sturdy and can be extended to 6.6 feet tall. I like the black powder paint on the stand, it gives it a sleek and professional look. The connection joints are strong, but however, I do wish the knobs were made of higher-quality plastic. Overall, I have been using this stand for three weeks now and I can report that am very happy with it.

I like most Neewer stuff and this stand is no exception. It is hard to compare Chinese made stands with the much more expensive German stands. (Really there is no comparison. The German stands are incredibly built.) But for far more affordable stands this one is just fine and works great.

Sturdy but not heavy. Very quick and easy set up. I tested the stand with a 5lb tv light and it holds it with out an issue. I would need a sand bag on the bottom of the stand if I were using it outside on a windy day. The finish is a lightly textured mat black that is more resistant to scratches. It doesn't come with a carrying case.

The light stand makes a very good impression regarding built quality, its segments and the legs open/close and adjust smoothly. It has a firm stand when a studio light is installed, and it is not wobbly at all -- I actually tested it with a Neewer LED studio light, and it was a good pairing. With some sandbags, which are not part of the package, the stand can be easily fully secured. Overall, it is very light-weight light stand due to the aluminum construction -- it can be called heavy-duty as long as you keep in mind that there are even more heavy-duty light stands out there, and it always depends on the question what payload is required.This light stand is rated for about 22 lbs payload which works just fine for common strobes and soft boxes, always of course dependent on overall dimensions and balance.The light-weight feature makes it a good choice for travelling or just taking it to location, but this light stand has its permanent place in studio environment as well.The finishing is a power-coating style dark gray which looks stylish and makes actually that visual quality statement as well.The springs inside the tube work fine and provide that needed safety feature for that type of light stands.The quality of this stand comes at a balanced and good price tag. Neewer products have their firm place in the market and this light stand is very well aligned with quality expectations of a photographer who looks for that balanced quality-price relationship.
