Great purchase. Super sturdy, I have a 18 inch ring light attached to it and even when the boom arm is fully extended it’s very solid. No issues so far and I’ve been using it daily for the past 4-5 months

Tired of setting up tripods. I have to be mobile with my gear so these save me some time. Tricky to get up on the ceiling be myself but I got the job done. They look so pro in the studio@ 6lb max, they will hold cameras and lights no problem. I just won’t hang off them any time soon.

This arm offers sturdy construction, smooth extension and angle action, locks into place nicely and once there is rock solid. -Even the swivel hinge facilitating horizontal rotation is better than I expected; -while that portion doesn't lock, (and not by negligent design, but because you wouldn't want to have to fiddle with a lock when swinging it around on that axis), the bolts are damped with friction rings so bumps and vibrations won't allow arbitrary movement. This is just a really good piece of mid-range consumer equipment for the price point, better than what I need for a little home studio. I can see it surviving the test of time in the environment I've placed it in.The bolt at the business end of the arm has two universal threadings, (Big and Small; I don't know what the actual measurements are, sorry, but they are standard and fit with the other bits and pieces of audio/camera equipment I ordered). If you don't need the Big bolt, you can loosen the assembly and reverse it so that the Small threading is now the one you can attach your camera or mic or whatever to.It's true; "You get what you pay for". -But within that spectrum, this is a Good Deal. Recommended.

I have a small quartz stage lamp that I wanted to mount over my dart board, and this looked to be just the right sort of thing to not only match the light but to hold it far enough out off the wall to make it useful. It does that job beautifully. The boom is more than strong enough to hold the 3-4 pound light at full extension, with a slight upward tilt. And, after all that, it looks really cool.
