If you're starting out & in a budget, the NEEWER Q300 does the job well and has a surprisingly good built quality for it's value.It doesn't have all the bells & whistles than more expensive options but I find it works very well.Battery life is decent and charging time is reasonable.There's a bit of a leaning curve, I suggest reading the manual and or watching tutorials.Good product and It's a great value.

Neewer makes some reasonably priced, mid-quality lights, so I was confident this flash would be a good addition to my kit—and it definitely is. This flash is portable, powerful, and fast. Its 300Ws max flash output that’s more than enough for outdoor shoots. It also performs well as a studio flash. The battery life is solid, lasting anywhere from 60 to 1000 flashes depending on the brightness level. The only downside is that it doesn’t have TTL metering, which would have been helpful for automatic exposure adjustments. Still, for a mid-level flash, this one packs a lot of value.

Review:There are many items in the world of Photography that are extremely expensive, and flashes and lights are some of them. Luckily, there are cheaper options and this Neewer Q300 is one of those. Not only is it reasonably priced compared to others on the market, but it actually competes with them in terms of quality as well.It's easy to use, but does require a learning curve. Sometimes you can buy products and not buy the users manual, but this is generally not one if you're new to Photography and flashes. You're going to want to read the users manual, and even if you're a pro... it's still worth a read!I used this on multiple shoots since I got it, and it's worked perfectly every time! I bought this flash for indoor photography and it works well. I like that it is powerful and has adjustable flash power. The battery life is also good and it can be fully charged in a few hours. I have used it with my old Canon camera and it is compatible. The flash also has a smart protection mechanism which is a good feature. The handle is adjustable and can be mounted on a light stand which is convenient. Overall I am happy with this purchase and it has helped me take better photos.

The build on these is amazing for the price! Super simple to use if you read the manual. Power isn’t as great as the higher end strobes, but if you’re a beginner on a budget, these will literally never fail you! They function just as good as profoto if you’re a beginner and still learning….but I’ve used these on some bigger shoots now and you’d think I was using a high end strobe! The brightness matches any others out there.
