To be honest with you I haven't liked any small lights until I got this one! There are pros and cons to small lights. Typically it's hard to find one that actually produces soft light, since of course that's not how light works. This one actually gets pretty soft though! The diffusion plate works great and even with it off the light is clearly using high quality evenly lit LED's.The battery life is actually great considering the size of this light. I got about an hour and a half on full brightness. Usb-c charging couldn't be more convenient, and the adjustments allow a pretty wide range of brightness. This light was actually bright enough for me to use as a rim light for a person. Though, the brightness diminished as the battery died making this unfortunately not the most consistent. I did not test whether or not this light can be used while it's charging. I think this lights strength is it's portability. It also works great as an on camera light source.The color temperature is nicely adjusted thought you can see that you'll get the brightest light out of the middle color temp. This is always the case with LED bi-color lights. Ultimately this little light is unbeatable for the price. Neewer provides great quality at a great price, so here's another win from them. You never know when this might help, as a fill light, rim light, or otherwise! Apparently it will also work as an SOS device, though I ultimately find that a strange choice for the lighting effects mode.

I really like the LED color temperature options that this puts out. It has 10 dimming levels and it is absolutely bright at its max setting. I like the dual color temp the best but depending on your use, you may find the soft white or cool white to be better. I love that this light comes with a diffuser cover, not may soft box LED lights comes with these. I don’t have a need for the lightning and scene modes that it has though but it’s no issue having it there. I do wish it came with a clip attachment with it though. This light has to either connect to a tripod stand screw or onto a camera flash clip, so being that I can’t just clip it to my phone or another surface is a bit of a bummer but I can just get a clip down the road for it to do that. Overall great light, very simple to use and I like that it shows the battery levels on the back.

This is a basic video camera light with 3 color temperatures achieved by turning on 18 cool LED for 5600K, 18 warm LED for 3200K or all 36 LED lights for 4100K. The controls are simple with the exception of the scene selection process, which is a little confusing and might have been explained better in the manual. There are 4 buttons on the back, with power, mode and up and down buttons. The power button is used to turn the light on and off by long pressing, and to switch into the scene function once the light is on. Once in the scene function, the mode button is used to switch between scenes, which attempt to replicate various lighting scenarios by flickering the lights to emulate lightning, news conferences, paparazzi, SOS, etc. The manual tells how to switch to scene function, but the scenes aren't listed until you read the specs on the last page of the English manual. This is a minor quibble, since I don't think I'll be using this function, but it's important to note that if you see the lights flashing all of a sudden, you probably just put the light into scene function inadvertently.The mode button's primary use is to change the color warmth, and the up and down buttons increase or decrease the brightness.This is marketed as useful for smartphones, but there are no special features for smartphones. There are cold shoe slots on four edges and a screw mount for tripods, which you'll probably need unless you have a camera cage for your smart phone.
