For a travel tripod this one is now my favorite for several reasons. First, I like how it is small and light weight. It comes with a case and it’s a really nice case with padding and a separate zippered pocket to keep the tools. (I can’t tell you how many tools I’ve lost over the years when I open a case and they just fall out). The case has both handles and a shoulder strap and it is large enough to accept the tripod without feeling like you are “stuffing” it in.The carbon fiber construction is excellent. It seems durable and I expect it to last a long time. The legs have the clasp holders. I really like the clasp holders better than the twist type as to me they seem not only sturdier, but all I have to do is look at them to see if they are latched. My gear that I’m using with this tripod is around 2 pounds and the tripod has no issues holding it. I experienced no slippage or problems. Everything seems sturdy. The ball head is great. I like that it has the vertical lock positions, too. The plate is universal to many of my other mounts, so that is a plus, too. I like that I can easily remove the head to switch the tripod center pole around for low shots.I also like that it comes with the ability to swap feet. I sometimes work in rough terrain and having the pointed ends over the rubber feet is a big plus. The legs also have multiple position stops to get the most secure position.I am mainly now using this for static shots. I did find that I got a little bit of vibration in my videos if I moved the ball head during filming. I believe this is just due to the light weight of the tripod and not the ball head. I also found that if the legs were fully extended, I also experienced vibration in my videos if moving the ball head, and once again, I attribute this to the light weight of the tripod. It’s the trade off for portability. I typically hang my backpack for weight on the central hook in the middle of the legs and this does help with stability.Overall, for the weight, size, and construction, this is a really great tripod and one I expect to have a long time. It’s a great size if you must hike anywhere with gear.

Got this tripod to take with me on hikes and rides on my board, and I'm super happy with it. There are a lot of reasons to like this Neewer tripod, but the number one selling point for me is being ARCA and Peak design compatible. I run a smallrig cage on my R6, and I never take it off. On my other tripod, I have a manfrotto head, which is really nice, but won't fit straight onto the cage, so I have to add a quick release plate. With this tripod, I can slot my cage directly into the tripod head, which is literally so much faster. The default tripod ballhead is pretty nice, but on the small side, assuming this was for weight reasons. The dials for it are smooth and easy to articulate, but I sort of wish they put the leveling bubble on both sides of the quick release clamp, so you don't have to think about it when you put the camera on the tripod. The stem is another great feature of this tripod, with a really unique stance of making it a single machined piece with a bunch of 1/4-20 mounting holes in it. This is an awesome idea because it makes it super easy to attach whatever you may have tagging along with your camera, microphones, lights, etc. Super useful. On the bottom of the center stem is a hook for a sandbag, which is useful as well. The legs are as advertised, carbon fiber, and are nice and stiff. Since they're so thin, they're still a little bit on the wobbly side, but way better than an equivalent diameter aluminum tube. To that point, they're plenty stiff for everyday use, but you may struggle if you have an extremely heavy camera. Each leg has latches for the extensions, and I have to say they're some of the best latches on tripod legs that I've seen. They spring open when pressed, and clamp tightly when closed. Great experience overall. This tripod is great! It's on the pricey side, but has a bunch of useful features that make it worth the money. It's also super light and easy to transport, great for putting into a backpack or taking on mobile shoots.

I absolutely love this tripod! It’s become my go-to for travel and everyday shooting. At just over 2 lbs it’s super lightweight, yet feels very solid and well-built. The carbon fiber legs and CNC metal flip locks give it a premium feel, and setup is quick and simple. At full height it reaches over 60", which is great for my height, but it also folds down compactly enough to carry anywhere. There are a lot of thoughtful details: multiple 1/4" mounting points for accessories, interchangeable feet for different terrain, and a detachable 360° ball head that’s smooth and sturdy. The Arca-type quick release plate works with Peak Design and other systems, making gear swaps fast. It even comes with a shoulder carrying case for convenience. For the price, it rivals more expensive name-brand tripods while delivering excellent stability, versatility, and portability for both travel and studio use.

I am giving the NEEWER 60.4" Travel Tripod with Detachable Damped Fluid Head a solid 5-star rating. This tripod is a clear winner for anyone needing professional performance in a travel-ready package. The standout feature is the build quality and portability. Thanks to the carbon fiber construction, the tripod is remarkably lightweight, making it easy to carry on long hikes or through airports. Despite its light weight, it provides a stable platform for camera work. Setting up the tripod is fast and easy due to the metal quick-flip leg buckles, which securely lock the legs into position quickly, saving valuable time when you are working fast. Usability is where this unit truly shines. The included Damped Fluid Head is simply excellent. The tilt works perfectly and is very smooth and fluid, allowing for precise, professional-looking camera movements without any jerky starts or stops. The inclusion of an Arca Type QR Plate compatible with systems like Peak Design Capture V3 is a huge convenience, integrating seamlessly into my existing gear. The durability of the carbon fiber legs and metal components feels robust, suggesting this tripod will handle the demands of frequent travel. I cannot find any significant cons here; this tripod successfully balances portability, speed, and precision in a way few others can. For any content creator, this is a highly recommended piece of gear.

This tripod has to be one of the most well-built travel models I've used. The carbon fiber construction is not only incredibly attractive, but gives the tripod its premium, lightweight feel while still remaining incredibly stable. It acts and look every bit as professional as much more expensive brands.Setup is quick and easy thank to the flip-up leg locks - far superior to twist locks if you're still using that antiquated tech. It folds doan neatly into the included case, which also has an exterior pocket that's perfect for the included accessories - another feature I really appreciate. In use, the tripod is incredibly smooth. The fluid head allows for precise, damped movement suitable for video work, while the pan and tilt motion feels tight and controlled. The adjustable legs make it easy to get stable shots on uneven surfaces and the removable center column adds flexibility for both low-angle and overhead shots. The quick release place fits perfectly with my existing gear which is a major plus.Honestly, it's almost too nice to use! The finish, fit, and attention feel more "studio" than "trail." It's built to perform and the combination of portability, versatility, and overall quality makes this tripod an incredible value.Travels light, looks great, and performs like a tripod twice its price. Very easy to highly recommend this one.

I'm so happy I got a chance to review this tripod. I've wanted a carbon fiber tripod for a long time now. None of them are cheap either.I was surprised at how small it was when it arrived in it's carrying case (which is pretty well made actually). Super light weight. I was thinking there is no way this will reach 60" but it sure did!I do freelance media work and I'm used to hauling around a huge, metal, heavy tripod. This thing is going to be a blast any time I have to cart a tripod any distance! Great for travelling, hiking etc.The overall build feels fantastic and well finished.Super easy to fold back up and adjust as needed. Probably not going to have much stability in windy situations without some ballast at the bottom, since by design it's light weight. Overall though a super easy to use tripod. It does have some stability issues in that regard. Overall though a super easy to use tripod.
