A hex key stored under the head tightens screws for secure camera mounting

Bought for my spotting scope, as you can see in the photo. It pairs up with my Neewer tripod quite well, though the standard threaded base will work with most large tripods. Check the description and look to the description of your own tripod to check this. The attachable base is great, it allows me to find the balance point on the scope and makes panning really easy. I don’t even have to snug it down to hold target. Highly recommend this head for range days, hunting on the other hand, well how heavy do you want your pack?

This video head is very well engineered and manufactured. It is such a pleasure to use!Everything moves so smoothly. Everything is adjustable and lockable. The finish is fantastic. The handle can be mounted on either side, so lefties making this head "kind of" ambidextrous (kind of because the tilt control knob still stays on the left side).The motion is very smooth, with a satisfying amount of drag.The handle telescopes, allowing you to adjust its length.The red accents look very sharp.Overall, there is nothing not to like about this video head. It's fantastic in every respect, and is a great deal. I like it more than my Manfrotto head.Highly recommended!

This tripod head offers improved movement compared to my tripod head, and significantly easier movement compared to the ball-style mount on my desk-mounted monopod.The base includes two screws to attach camera – ¼” and 3/8” (the unused one can be removed). The base can be slid forwards/backwards; to release, press the red button on the side of the unit.The handle can be attached on either side and can be telescoped out to effectively add between 8.5” and 13.25” of length measured from the connection point.Rotation and panning up/down is smooth and each function includes an adjustable tensioner than can be used to either secure position, or just provide enough tension to prevent inadvertent movement.The base is intended to be installed on a 3/8” threaded screw; an insert is included to allow installation onto a ¼” threaded screw.I recommend this head as an easy upgrade if you are looking for more fluid rotation and panning, or to upgrade a fixed or ball-style mount to allow for easier rotation and panning.Photos attached to my review show my Sony A6000 on a Neewer desk-mount.

This fluid head feels heavy-duty but with its hallow design it is lightweight which makes it more portable. Many nice features to this fluid head like the handle that can be removed or used on both sides for right-handed and left-handed alike. A 1/4” screw on the side permit to install an accessory for practical reason. The quick release plate works great and as 1/4” screw and 3/8” for maximum compatibility. You need to install it on a tripod, monopod or slider like I will do, come with a 1/4” to 3/8” screw adapter. I like this fluid head that is robust and well design at an affordable price.

NEEWER Metal Video Tripod Fluid Head with Quick Release PlateWith a 5kg load rating, this is -- in typical NEEWER fashion -- a well-made fluid video tripod head.To highlight the level of detail found in this head, the QR plate can only be removed toward the camera operator, a good safety feature not found on all plates. NEEWER really does pay attention to the little details; this head is no exception.Compared to heads with a higher rating, I was a bit surprised at the (short-ish) length of the telescoping handle. For focal-length lenses that will be most-commonly used with a head with this load rating, that's fine; for longer focal lengths (or for close range/ macro), a little extra length (leverage) is useful for smoother/ more precise pans and tilts so, if working in the super-telephoto or macro range, regardless of sensor size, I might look for a higher capacity head.Depending on the weight of your rig and the focal length range you're working in, this head may be all you need; in fact, for the vast majority of applications, this head is ample. Priced very reasonably for the quality, this head is worth short-listing and recommended accordingly.
