I have electronic version of it, and it great, but this is just so simple and easy ! It depend of what you need ! If you need that ONE shot, this is much better as electronic version, as you have control for exactly the effect you want ! It also have some counterweight and allow it to do some smooth effect. It not for heavy camera. Also is not great for fast movement, as you would have to turn much too quickly to keep anything stable while turning it.

This works great for smooth panning shots. I make youtube videos and this helps my videos look more professional. It is very smooth for a hand crank, I was worried it would wobble. It is light and comes with a case to help carry it around. Good value for the price, I recommend.

Although it's not perfect, this slider is a great next step for filmmakers looking to make their shots look more alive. It is durable, lightweight, and easy to set up with its legs or on a tri-pod. You do need to get a ball head mount for easier panning and tilting.

Pay attention to the fact that this is hand cranked, and there seems to be no provision for attaching any sort of motor. That said, I found it very easy to maintain a smooth and even tracking speed thanks to the pully system. I did need to tweak the belt tension a little bit to get everything running perfectly - likewise, there are "brakes" that you can adjust to increase or decrease the tension. This thing is very *very* light thanks to the carbon fiber, but you will still need the outfeed supports if you plan on mounting this on a tripod or light stand. You can set it up on two small light stands, which works pretty well.For model shots, B roll and whatnot this is perfect for me, but if you are both the content and the content creator like I am, you might want to consider splurging on a motorized slider.

This large, high quality carbon fiber slider unit for DSLR or mirrorless cameras from brand NEEWER is a mechanical based slider with no electric parts. Instead, it has a large turn dial, that you simply turn left or right to move the slider back and forth.It is very well made, both durable and light and with plenty of mounting features and some extra accessories like a nice ball tripod head. At 31.5in (80cm) it is a substantial size that can definitely handle larger cameras, but would work with a mobile setup as well, although NEEWER does offer smaller slider options for this purpose. This one is really for a camera and lens combo.The idea of a camera slider is to slowly move a visual from left to right and back again, this effect is called panning and it helps give your clips a cinematic effect. It's a very cool thing and worth ordering a slider for this purpose. If you have a a large camera and lens you want to use for cinema panning footage, this may be basic by comparison to the electronic versions, but it is still very high quality and will definitely do the job. 5 stars for what it is.

This carbon fiber slider is a nice tool to get smooth slider shots with lightweight cameras. It comes with a nice cary case and the weight is very light for the length. Its a learning curve to get smooth shots with a passive slider like this using light cameras because it can be very prone to shake and small movements. With a bit of practice I could get some really nice shots out of them though and its a nice addition to my toolkit as a filmmaker. I like that this kit comes with spare parts and a too as well as the flywheel option (i find it hard to keep smooth acceleration with the small wheel radius)

I really like how smoothly this well-manufactured mounting rail works when making adjustments to one's camera position while photographing small products and other items using tabletop photography. When mounted to one's tripod it also is useful for making small camera adjustments and the action is smooth and effortless. The unit is supplied with a carrying bag which protects it during transport and prevents unnecessary scratching etc. A great product for those needing a reliable and smoothly adjustable camera or video mount in conjunction with other equipment and I recommend it!

As an amateur photographer in snowy Winter, I've been using this slider for capturing our recent snowfalls and family moments. The carbon fiber build is so light for me to carry it around without struggling, which came in handy when I wanted to film my kids building a snowman in our backyard last weekend. What I like is the quietly smooth motion - no mechanical noise to distract my teenage daughter during her violin practice recordings. The adjustable legs have been useful on our uneven deck, though I did spend some time figuring out the optimal height settings. My experience to share with fellow users: take time to practice with the flywheel before any important shoots, and definitely play with different height adjustments indoors first. While the carrying bag is handy, I wish it had additional padding since I sometimes transport it to the office for work presentations. Still getting used to the belt tension adjustments, but the results when filming our senior parents' holiday cookie baking session were noticeably steadier than my handheld attempts.
