Description

  • SILVER- Metal service for better luminosity. Reflects light, and accentuates light and contrast without distorting color. Ideal for still life, objects, and portraiture.
  • GOLD- This reflector "warms up the image" and is recommended for still life, portraits, and model photography.
  • WHITE- Bounces the light in order to create even, flattering results. The neutral surface softens the light and preserves natural color. It can also be used for macro photography.
  • BLACK-To add a dramatic effect to the image. Creates dark effects by blocking unwanted light and eliminating light reflections.
  • TRANSLUCENT - For soft light, eliminating shadows. It can be placed in front of a light source such as a studio lamp, spotlight, or the sun and diffuses direct light.
  • The 43”/110cm mini light stand is especially suitable for low-angle shooting, with a 1/4” mounting screw that works with a multitude of devices.

This reflector is by the company Neewer, I have a lot of Neewer gear and all of it is good, this reflector is no exception, it's a high-quality product. The reflector is large and can be swapped around quickly to different reflector surfaces, all of which work well for portraits. I found the stand to be small and not as useful as I would like, however the product listing does state this is specifically a low-angle reflector, and I knew this when I ordered it. It's a great reflector for both studio and outdoor photography and it's worth the price.

This reflector is huge and perfect for photos. I take my kids pictures outside during the holidays and getting natural light to hit just right is absolutely crucial so I decided to give this reflector a try. I tested it indoors on my hutch (see included video) and was impressed with just the light I was able to reflect from the window, so this thing will do amazing outside in direct sunlight. I LOVE that it comes with a tripod stand to set it up in case I’m shooting photos alone and don’t have someone to hold it in place. The perfect thing is when I’m done it compresses and folds down into a small circle that fits inside its own little carry case. I love that all the colors and diffuser are in a 4-in-1 contraption, so portability is super easy. Would highly recommend these!

It is massive. Definitely gets the job done. The only thing that I will say is that putting it back in the bag will be a hassle. The bag looks small and as soon as you unzip the bag, it releases and you’ll be like whoa. I recommend watching videos online about how to put it back into the bag. There is a certain way that you have to twist it. I was scared that I would break it at first but then I did it with ease.

This is a solid little combo. The light stand is on the shorter side and stands about 4ft tall when fully extended. I wouldn't use it outside in the wind, but for indoor/studio use it will work out perfect, especially with a sandbag on one of the legs. I'm leaning towards using the light stand more for little kicker or accent lights when on set where I need to hide the light low and behind something. The reflector is well made with decently thick material. I have really been liking the size of it, as it looks really good reflected in the talent's eyes. Its not so big as to make it unwieldy, but it is big enough to use for mid length shots.The reflector clip is nothing special, but it does its job and is a bit more convenient to use than a standard grip clip.
