It supports 3 modes: Manual, Video, and Time Lapse. Settings can be personalized and saved for quick application. Note: This camera dolly is one way wheel drive and is only suitable for use on flat tabletops and floors, not suitable for telephoto lenses
  • Free Movement & 5 Speed Levels- You can operate the dolly in 5 speed levels by using the app. By manually angling the wheels, the dolly can achieve curved lines or move in circles. Different camera movements can help enhance your videos.Note: The direction of linear motion may shift slightly after a certain distance, you can fine tune the front wheel in the opposite direction.
  • Shooting Mode Customization- In Manual mode, you can set movement directions, speed (1–5 levels), and movement mode (even/slow). In Video mode, you can set movement directions, movement distance (66–999cm), and movement mode (even/slow). In Time Lapse mode, you can set shutter speed, frame length, number of shots, and fixed point shooting (Note: Time lapse photography needs a camera shutter cable and it is not included.)
  • Smooth & Silent Step Motors- In addition to the precision bearings on the wheels for smoothness, a high precision motor is used to ensure that the sound is kept within 30dB during operation for a quiet video recording environment

I have a big 1.2M KONOVA tracking rig, which is great but cumbersome and fiddly to set up. This little marvel almost makes it obsolete for a lot of real word applications.Super easy to use and very smooth. With the app - which works well - you get beautifully ramped/feathered start and stop action too. Remarkable for the money.

I have used a slider previously that worked well but was very large and harder to lug around. This does the same job in a smaller package and more. I love how I can use it to rotate around something to give it a 360 view. It is very small but it is smooth. It was easy hooking up to the app I already had. I am glad it came with a phone mount as well since I mostly use my phone with this. The charge lasts very long but if needed I can charge it up quickly. You can also choose 5 speeds. Very happy with this.

Once you know the limitation, this is actually a very nice dolly. I will not remove stars for the limitations, as they are clear from the start. This device is intended for smaller cameras, on a flat surface, and it cannot be mounted on rails. Using the device on a table requires a flat table, and I would add some borders to prevent accidental falls. Neewer has another dolly that can work with rails, but this one can not, unless you build your own rails, which I may do if I find some way to guide the wheel.Controlling the device from the body is easy, but limited to 5 speeds in each direction. It has smooth starts, which reduces vibration at startup. Using the software gives way more options. The app gives you control of the duration and travel length, which makes it really easier to set up. There is a time-lapse feature that allows the dolly to move, then take a shoot. This mode needs a trigger cable, which I don't have on my Canon M50, I'll have to solder a cable to a remote to use that feature, the same can probably be done by modifying one of those cellphones remotes if you use a phone, check the polarity.The noise level is low, I cannot hear the motor at all. This was a complaint with other models.The ball head is smooth enough to be tightened and to position the camera without major shuttering. It is a nice compact ball head.Overall, this is a nice kit for my use.

NEEWER Motorized Camera Dolly with App Control for iOS/Android Smartphone, Ball Head, Ultra Silent Tabletop Slider with 5 Speed Levels/Video Mode/Time Lapse Photography, Max Load 6.6lb/3kg, DL200First of all, here's the elephant in the room: The cable inside the unit connecting the motor to the PCB was not connected so the unit was DOA out of the box. The battery cable was partially connected so the unit powered on but that connector was not locked either. Hmmmmmm. Otherwise...I already use the NEEWER App for other NEEWER products (lights) so I was relieved that this unit paired pretty much automatically with the same app on my iPhone.Once paired, manual, video and timelapse options appear in the app. In settings, there was no newer firmware available so things were good to go.The dolly:- Does work well both manually as well as with the app.- Is very quiet so as to not disturb shooting.- Has a turnable front wheel. Tip: Unfold the wheel from the storage position and rotate the front wheel's actual strut: It's stiff but it will swivel.If mounting a heavier rig -- noting the max. capacity of 3kg -- try to mount it low and as centered as possible to avoid tipping.Going forward, this is a 5 star unit. 4 stars out of the box is a bit generous but the brand is generally good and has been attentive to me when I have had the rare technical issue in the past. Recommended with the one caveat.
