It worked with my friend's prime Sony lenses for EF (85mm f1.8, 35mm f1.8) with my Nikon Z5. The auto focus takes it time but is progressive (i.e. not hunting) sharpens in about 2 seconds. I tested with the original and the new v2.7.0 firmware (April 18, 2024) but I didn't notice a difference. I ended up buying it from Neewer directly in a 'flash sale'.

To be able to use any FE/M-mount Sony, Sigma, Tamron or Zeiss lens on my Nikon Z9 and Z7ii cameras is a great advantage and the fact that it preserves most of the lens's autofocus and other features makes this a very worthwhile purchase.And on top of that there's a USB cable that connects magnetically to the adapter and allows the adapter to be upgraded when company software upgrades happen in the future. Bravo Neewer.It's very well machined and fits tightly to my Nikons with no wiggle whatsoever. A recommended accessory.

Neewer's FE/E mount lens to Z mount camera adapter allows you to connect Tamron, Sony, and Sigma FE mount and E mount lenses to a Z mount camera.In operation for still photography this is a great addition. It allows the use of Sony lenses if they're available. Just as importantly, it allows the use/purchase of Sigma lenses for Sony that are significantly less expensive than their Z mount equivalents.Autofocus with Sony lenses is fast--seemingly as fast as on a Sony body. I've read that some early users have found issues with third-party lenses but more recent articles and reviews have praised this adapter for working well with Sigma. Firmware updates will likely resolve the remaining issues over time.This adapter is everything I could hope for.
