I ordered this lantern softbox hoping I could adapt it to a couple handheld lights I own that are very similar to the Neewer light pictured, but alas I couldn't make it work. Each manufacturer of these small handheld COB lights uses a proprietary mount making the exchange of accessories impossible.Most larger lights have adopted the Bowens mount as the industry standard. Not so with these small lights.With that being said, if you own Neewer's HS60B handheld LED video light, you're going to love this lantern accessory. It's so easy to unfold and fold up; just press down from the top with the bottom resting on a table and engage the hook that's inside and it's ready to go. It takes like 5 seconds. Click it onto the front of your HS60B and you've got a super soft hand held light.

Exclusively for the HS60B.Cannot be used in any other light.Is not mini bowens mount compatibleIs not bowens mount compatible.This obviously limits the versatility of the softbox but if you have one HS60B then this is a high quality softbox for that light.

NEEWER creates great products and this Lantern Softbox is no exception. It comes in a bag folded down - in order to turn it into the lantern you press it in from both sides, inside is a metal hanger you hook into the opposite end. It literally takes less than 10 seconds to deploy this softbox!One thing I do wish NEEWER would have done is to make their mini video lights and lanterns with mini-Bowens mounts as opposed to their own proprietary mounts - as I have other mini video lights that I'd love to use their lanterns on but cannot. With that being said, I have to say this lantern softbox is awesome - both in its easy deployment, how well it's made, and how well it diffuses the light off the HS60B Video Light.Overall, if you have the NEEWER HS60B Video Light and would like a really nice mini-lantern softbox, whether it's this 12" or you go for a larger 20" one, I don't think you can go wrong.

The Neewer HS60B is a pretty small light source to begin with so having the option of increasing the apparent light source size as well as diffuse it greatly is what I was looking for.This Neewer lantern style light modifier does exactly what it's intended to do and does it well. As an added bonus it compacts down into a very easily portable solution.In combination with the HS60B's lighter very portable design I can now handhold a much larger off camera light source. Just pop off the HS60B's included reflector and pop on the NEEWER 12"/30cm Lantern Softbox via Neewers Mini Mount and you are ready to go.I'll be getting another for my 2nd HS60B now that I know this is a great solution.
