NEEWER CS1M/CS2M Carbon Fiber Camera Slider

I’ve used several entry- and mid-level sliders for classroom and student video projects, and this one hits a sweet spot between professional performance and affordability.The carbon fiber rails make it lightweight but very sturdy — no flexing or wobble even when supporting a mirrorless camera or DSLR. The four bearing system delivers incredibly smooth, consistent motion whether you’re doing push-ins, pull-outs, or side slides. It’s quiet enough to use while recording live audio, which is a big plus.I also appreciate the included accessories — the 360° ball head, phone clamp, and GoPro/action camera mount make it flexible for any setup. My students can easily swap between an iPhone, Insta360, or Canon camera without needing extra adapters. The adjustable legs are strong and let you level the slider quickly on uneven surfaces.Setup takes just a minute, and the motion control feels balanced — not too loose, not too tight. Very smooth slider

Very smooth. Very light. Very good. Can’t beat the value proposition for this one.

I love the overall solid rigidity of this slider rail system and the build quality feels excellent with the metal componentry; I appreciate that a travel bag is included and it is appropriately sized for the slider. It is nice that the bottom has a treaded mounting plate where I can add on a quick plate for getting this on a tripod without much fuss.I am impressed that the small feet have their own interlocking rotation and independent threaded height adjustments; I feel I can fine tune the footing to my liking for uneven surfaces. I believe the overall operation is very straightforward and the rail guidance is very smooth .I do like that the phone holder has a cold shoe mount which allows me to mount on an external microphone. With the overall length being 40cm, I plan to use this to experiment with slow motion video captures; I did not find the overall weight too cumbersome to carry along side the provided accessories.The only thing I plan to upgrade is the ball mount as I can probably swap in one with a higher rated weight capacity; the included ball head mount feels like it is rated for light duty.

It offers 3 mounting solutions angle adjustments, carbon fibre body and a high level of customization options.The build:Neewer has a great pedigree of mid to high end products with fantastic build quality. This model is no exception it offers that same thought out build you come to expect. All components feel solid and durable. From the sliding mechanism that glides without a hitch. To the adjustable legs with detents to get it just right, it exudes quality and craftsmanship. The 4 high precision bearings, glides the dolly smoothly along the 16"/40cm rail. You can attach an extension arm for more precise movement if need be. Each of the 4 legs can be moved independently offering a flat 90 degree angle on ruff surfaces. Each leg can also be locked into place with their own rotation locking knob. This means you can perform small incline or decline shots with extra precision and smoothness.Accessories:This model comes with 3 accessories that offer a wide range of applications. All main video shooting platforms are supported. The most expensive peace is the mini ball head with a U shaped notch for 360° rotation and 90° tilt adjustment. A top 1/4" screw is compatible with Canon Nikon Sony Fujifilm Fuji Panasonic Samsung DSLR digital cameras. You also get a standard plastic type mounting option for actions cameras and a subpar plastic phone mount that in all honesty is the weakest link in the chain. It just feels very cheep and somewhat hinders experience. Yet they have to cut costs somewhere in order to bring a higher end product. Such as this one to a reasonable price, for the average consumer market.In use:although small you can still get some good perspective shots especially closeup to near field. I would say a great investment for those in product photography or video shoots and small independently owned businesses. Newer offers much longer versions of this product that are in my opinion much more versatile but will cost 3x the price. You will need to practice at sliding the dolly as smoothly as possible with no jittering. It is easy enough and won't take long to master.Gripes:I would have loved a better phone mount made of higher end materials included with the unit.Final thoughts: 5 out of 5If you're in the market for an affordable high end camera slider for you're next project. I would strongly recommend this product from NEEWER. Although not to longest on the market it is very portable and offers good bang for you're hard earned dollar.

In the category of compact, budget camera sliders, this may be one of the best ones.I've utilized several sliders in a variety of price ranges, and this one seems great for what it is.There's no resistance adjustment to have the slider go at a slower pace, you just have to manually move the slider slowly.The adjustable legs are really good. They can be adjusted to fit many surfaces I can think of.Highly recommended.
