This viewfinder gives additional usability to my aging A6000 mirrorless camera – the larger display can be rotated 360° and angled as required, can display additional ‘advanced’ details (vectorscope, RGB waveform), and remains clear even when viewed off-centre.Included is a battery and charger (requires a not included USB-A power source), but the viewfinder can also be powered via a 12V DC power supply.Video input is HDMI - included is a 3’ micro-HDMI to HDMI cord and a 3’mini-HDMI to HDMI cord.A glare shade is included however I’m not using it due to my application.Software is fairly simple to use, and navigation is done with a single ‘rotating button’ that can be pushed up/down and pressed inwards, along with a physical ‘menu’ button. There are three programmable buttons to make common tasks quicker and easier.I’m using the viewfinder in two specific ways: to allow me to hold my camera directly down in front of my when my toddler is chasing me, and rotated 180° for VLOG-style shoots (and in the future, family holiday photos) – things that my camera’s built-in viewfinder couldn’t support.Build quality seems very good, and the included arm holds the viewfinder securely while allowing for easy adjustment.I recommend this viewfinder if you are looking to add versatility to an existing camera.

The quality on this monitor is actually quite impressive. I tested it outside in full sun with and without the shroud. To my surprise, the screen was perfectly visible even with intense sun beating down on it.The live histogram and easily visible AF box are great for shooting stuff on the go outdoors. The battery charger works great and the battery is easy to clip in, stays in securely, and is easy to pop out. Also lasts a decent while. The mounting clip to slide this into the flash holder is a bit worrisome. It’s very loose with no obvious way to lock it in place.Came with a variety of cables which was nice.I was so impressed with how well it worked I pulled some foam and gave it a place in the hardshell beside the DSLR.

I'm a huge fan of Neewer, and have tons of their gear. This monitor is no exception, and it works perfectly as an external display on my Canon M50. It's great for external use when recording a video, when minimal input would be needed. My M50 also supports connect/disconnect in real-time, so I can set the shutter speed and aperture and start recording, then plug in the monitor to see it easier. And that's where I find the only problem with it. Since this is my first external monitor, I don't know if this is just a camera limitation, or a monitor limitation, but there's no touch screen ability on it. So if I need to change the settings on something (say, adjust shutter speed) while recording, I need to disconnect the monitor, make the changes, then plug it back in. I can do some setting with the wheels while the monitor is attached, but with the M50, it's much faster to adjust multiple values on the touch screen than via the wheels, and that's not available while a monitor is connected. The only other issue is that I wish it was a big bigger. Like a 9" display. The viewing angle is superb, though, with multiple people easily able to view around the monitor at the same time. The battery also seems to last forever. It has a huge battery that comes with it, that snaps in to the back; but you can also plug it in to feed it off a live power source, if you end up needing it.

I like that this monitor has three programmable function buttons on top for quick toggles to setting I need to change on the fly; With this not being a touch screen, I did not find the menu too difficult to navigate with the side dial button. I did test the monitor with an external power source that outputs 12V and it worked without any issues.I love that this kit comes with a trio of HDMI cables included and AV input cables; the lengths feel appropriate with mounting this monitor onto a rig with a camera below. For me, the included mounting bracket feels acceptable for stationary use; I did feel I needed to use a more secure field monitor mount for any filming that required me to physically move my camera’s position.Construction wise, the plastic enclosure felt acceptably rigid without feeling too brittle; I did not see any physical damage nor imperfections with finishes. The frame for the sunshade cover did need bit of attention and care to lift off from the monitor.I had no issues with the included battery pack and it fit securely into the back of the monitor; as for the operational temperature, the unit did not feel unbearably hot and the battery only felt slightly warm. It’s nice that the charger for the battery is slim and packs away easily in a bag.Overall, I believe this a great introductory kit if a touchscreen is not a major requirement; the screen colour looks vibrant with the glossy finish.

I recently purchased the F400 PRO 6 Camera Field Monitor, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. The monitor's Full HD 1920x1080 IPS screen provides incredibly sharp and vibrant visuals, making it a joy to work with. The inclusion of a waveform and vector scope adds a professional touch to my video monitoring, ensuring accurate color and exposure representation. The peaking focus assist feature is a game-changer, allowing me to achieve precise focus effortlessly. The DC input and output options provide flexibility in powering the monitor and connecting other devices. The tilt arm is sturdy and adjustable, making it easy to position the monitor at the perfect angle. Plus, the inclusion of the F550 battery and charger is a thoughtful bonus. Overall, the F400 PRO Camera Field Monitor has exceeded my expectations, and I recommend it to any DSLR videographer or filmmaker.

Good quality LCD display with wide viewing angle. It is well designed, I would rate it as a "prosumer" quality device. It has rich menu structure, giving you access to many necessary features, including programmable function buttons. It will be helpful to those who can appreciate and put to a good use a vectorscope and two wafeform monitors, as well as an audio level indicator, all inset at the bottom of the screen. I tested it with several signal types and verified that it takes legacy NTSC (analog), as well as 720p/60, 1080i and 1080p with frame rates of 24, 25, 30, 59.94, and 60 Hz. This is about all I could squeeze out of my video test generator, excluding the 480p modes. The monitor also features a 12V DC input for external power supply (not included). Note that the connector has 2.5 mm internal pin which will not fit too many standard power adapters. A 2.1 mm pin is more common in Canada. Comes with a nice snap-on Lithium battery coupled with its "personal" charger, and several cables, including HDMI cables of different configurations. There is also a camera mounting arm in the kit, I will not be using it - I need just the monitor itself. For all the features and extras, this set is priced very reasonably. I would consider it a good deal.

Neewer's F400 pro, 500 nit field monitor is my 2nd acquisition of 'Neewer' monitors to upgrade our studio production equipment. Having the F400 mounted on the NEEWER LL35 78" carbon fiber tripod with the NEEWER 6.3"/160mm Vixen style dovetail plate & the NEEWER camera monitor mount with 3/8" ARRI locating thumbscrew makes focusing, white balancing & color grading far more easier than how we previously achieved those tasks. Setting up & navigating through the menu options is quite easy with the incredibly receptive push button dial. I had this wonderful 4K monitor up & running within minutes. The L bracket with the attached cold shoe will come in handy to mount a light on the monitor when out in the field. The sunshade will be extremely useful when shooting at high noon, helping me to easily focus & giving me that sharp detailed image we've come to expect from Neewer's field monitors. The F400, 6 inch monitor kit came with a NP-F550 battery to keep the monitor up & running for remote field work. Luckily, after several hours of constant use I can extend the recording of a 'live' event with my Neewer Mini V mount PS099E battery via the F400's power input. The F400 pro is an awesome versatile portable lightweight monitor that will be put to good use in & out of the studio for years to come.

NEEWER F400 PRO 6 Inch Camera Field Monitor, Waveform, Vector Scope, Full HD 1920x1080 IPS 4K HDMI Input DSLR Video Peaking Focus Assist, DC Input Output, Tilt Arm, F550 Battery & Charger IncludedVery portable 6" screen size. Not too heavy. Comes with metal hinged mount and coldshoe for camera mounting. The hinged mount can be installed in two ways: lever style install, angled and can be swiveled or Lbracket style --- however your shooting situation may require -- very solid performing mount which is easy to remove and install. Shade is on a plastic bracket and velcro'd on. Easy to remove if youre working inside. Comes with mini hdmi cable and a second cable with micro hdmi on the other end (which is obviously GREAT for SLR usage). Love that it already comes with a charger and lithium NP-F550 battery which is ubiquitous enough and you can grab a few extras... but its also compatible with also compatible with other batteries like F750 F970 Canon E6 lithium batteries! Versatile power options available with external power source as well. Very impressive input video specs which will support pretty much everything on the market today. Sharp native 1080p resolution. Video helper functions are outstanding. . . most useful is focus peaking, histogram, false color indication to help exposure, and of course the screen guides for different aspect ratios. You may also input audio from camera and monitor it. The programmable function buttons at the top are quite handy as well - quickly toggle things without fiddling thru menu (like focus peaking). One thing i find that is a bit slow (i'm not sure if its just my camera sony a73), when it switches between monitoring to playback mode, it takes a few seconds to switch modes -- i'm not sure if its the field monitor or the camera -- So i went and installed it on my Fuji camera and it's the same thing. Takes around 3 seconds to "switch" and display playback mode -- i'm not quite sure why . It gets annoying if you are chimping a bit with your shot.Overall a very compelling low cost field monitor. Great for the enthusiast video / photographer that wants budget price but excellent value.

I needed a field monitor to help take my pictures and videos up a level. This field monitor arrived very well packaged and included a lot of accessories including a battery, battery charger, mounting bracket, multiple cables to connect to almost any device, a sunshade hood, and multiple user manuals and guides. The monitor is 6 inches and has an HD resolution of 1920x1080p.I am not a professional photographer but I wanted a monitor to help me preview my video and photo settings. This works perfectly for that. White balance, false color, and exposure are for me the most useful functions of this monitor but that all depends on your level of expertise in photography and I am still a beginner. The monitor allows me to adjust the lighting to my liking without having to shoot the pictures, review, and reshoot. It saves a lot of time. The monitor can mount directly on your camera or on a gimbal stabilizer which is how I am using it.I found the sunshade hood to be helpful in the sun but when it was really bright outside I did still have some issues seeing the screen as clearly as I would have liked but this was a very minor issue. There are 3 programmable buttons that you can set up for the functions you use the most.I am very happy with this monitor and it has helped me improve my pictures and videos. It helps me to preview and adjust my shots very easily.I do recommend this to anyone who is starting to get into photography or for the more professional photographers who want to add a monitor to their setup.
