  • +15°/-15° Precise Leveling Base- A bowl shaped leveling base enables you to pivot the camera 360° and slightly tilt it between -15° and +15° when precise adjustment is needed. I've had good results from NEEWER gear in the past, and I'm generally happy to rely on it based on past experience. This P/T head is no exception I was pleased to find, with a bit of practice I found it was straightforward to get a nice smooth movement with it, slow and steady. It worked great for my DSLR, and feels absolutely well-made.

I have a few Neewer camera and tripod accessories so I was optimistic that this would be the same high quality I’ve come to expect from them, and I haven’t been disappointed.It’s a nice weighty tripod head, although this may not be desirable if you’re wanting very light gear for trekking etc. I found the action flawlessly smooth and precise. I also use their ball head but I think I prefer the single directional adjustment on this, it seems more controlled. The telescopic handle is also a really nice touch and gives an even greater sense of control over smaller movements. The silicone grips are comfortable and again help with fine control.There’s an engraved dial showing the 360 degrees, which helps gauge speed of movement and keep it steady while taking panorama shots or video. The built in bubble levels are also really useful as a quick visual guide on your positioning. It’s now my preferred tripod head.

I must admit that the main reason that I bought this tripod head was due to the unique design of the leveling base in the center of the head. I could visualize how this concept would help me to level my camera and tripod accurately when on uneven ground. The more that I use it, the more that I appreciate the design and how well it works, but the head isn’t without its quirks. For example, the panning head knob, if locked down tight, when the tilt knob directly above it is locked, will not loosen until the tilt head is unlocked. Once the tilt head is unlocked, the panning head can be loosened and you can pan. The key, I think, is not to panic and try to force the panning knob to turn.Overall, I have really appreciated the build quality and thinking that went into this tool, and enjoy using it, despite the quirks.

This NEEWER G37 3 Way Tripod Pan Tilt Head (Non Geared) is a really nice adjustable tripod with a unique ±15° Leveling Bowl Base making for quick levelling adjustments. It's a Fluid Head with Damping and offers an Arca Type QR base plate and can handle a max load 13.2lb/6kg which makes it suitable for serious photography gear. It also has two retractable handles which makes it very convenient with adjustments while adding to your overall control of camera movement. The quality of the materials and the fit and finish are excellent and the movement of the various parts is nice and smooth. This is a great tripod head with some nice features that make it easy and convenient to use. I would recommend it.

Transforms my landscape photography this multi way pan and tilt head fluidly rotates across and stably latches into fixed position with a single turn of its handle. Having flexibility of independent axis control and even a center gimbal shift adds a layer of precision to aligning shots for capturing panoramas. The smoothness and quietness of its rotary joints also makes this tripod head great for filming motion scenes.Underneath its got a 3/8" socket mounting onto most tripods or sliders while up top an ARCA type quick release plate fits universally using 1/4" socket on cameras. Its well engineered to balance weight of even heavier full frame DSLR with lenses attached, this tripod pan & tilt head keeps angle from tilting over even going as far as 33 degrees upwards.When it to axis, it covers the full gamut. Its got a standard handle for vertical axis down & upwards. Secondary handle for horizontally across 360 degrees or using thumb knob from its base. Here's why its different, a full motion 15 degree gimbal right in the center changes how I think about leveling. Minus the small bubble next to ARCA plate which gets covered when putting cameras on top.Its not without some flaws. Since the mount relies on a traditional 3/8" thread but counter rotating axis directly above requires tightening down firmly to prevent inadvertently loosening from tripods when rotating in the opposite direction. Both ARCA and center gimbal release switches are thumb screw knobs which can get tad bit tiring from manually rotating. Portability seems to be an after thought having to lug around this tripod head which is hefty on its own.Aside from which, the fluid 3 way axis and being rugged aluminum this tripod head is my go to way of doing panoramic photography and becomes a stable platform even for film making. Whether attaching a heavy cine rig or even small point and shoot cameras, independent axis handles feel both comfortable to grip and intuitive to latch position using a single twist.
